Nice hotel with a 5 star amenities
I like the service especially the staff, the hotel is very accessible to malls, entertainment, restaurants, etc.

at first you will notice a smell i dont know where it came from but the hotel's location, service and amenities and of course the price, you tend to forget every negative aspect of such hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Always negotiate for a taxi fee.

was welcome by friendly reception at the counter upon arrival. did not take too long for them to check me in. the room was decently clean and neat. they attend to request fast and very polite.

Very nice hotel but a bot off centre

This is one of the decent hotels i've been to in KK, which adhere to modern standards of European 3 stars. They had the pool and the included breakfast as well as a few other services.
The main downside, however, was a location which was slightly further to the central points like Waterfront and even further from night market. Whilst I enjoyed a night stroll back from the pub crawl, walking in the middle of a day may be very tiring and a taxi to Waterfront will cost you RM 12.

Big, nice room for a small price

i loved my stay at sabah oriental hotel. i initially booked it for it's bigger rooms compared to the other hotels in the city with similar price. i am staying alone but i have big luggages and i wanted a relaxing stay after my mt. kinabalu climb. i wasn't disappointed. the bed was big & comfortable, the hot shower works without a fault, and the breakfast buffet was more than i expected. i ended up being full on my first morning and never went hungry again until 3pm for lunch.
it's not in the city center, but rather at one end of the city. kk is rather small and you can walk from this hotel to the other end in 20-30 minutes. you can also take the public transport terminal just across the road in wawasan plaza (5-minute walk). hotel can get you a taxi anytime if you prefer to take a cab.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Public transport terminal (Wawasan Plaza) is just across the road. You can walk the city, end-to-end, in only 20 minutes!
