I chose this hotel during my last night stay in Kota Kinabula mainly because it is just 4 min drive from airport & there's free airport/hotel transfer.
The room is clean & nicely decorated. The drawback is the room is quite small, but given the low price, I am satisified with it. The thing we don't like is the glass walls of the bathroom which is quite inconvenient unless you travel alone.

Great interior but small rooms

The hotel is actually small hence the space is limited. Nonetheless, I love how they managed to fully utilize their limited space. I personally choose this hotel as they provide free shuttle van to the airport even when my flight is 645 in the morning!

The hotels is neat, close to the airport, but you also clean hear the plane, that makes it a bit noisy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
90 km away from KK is the Mount Kinabalu and Mount Kinabalu Park, it is wonderful and a must on each travel agenda .

Great service at the Crown Borneo Hotel. Very helpful staff and very friendly. The room was good as well, the double rooms are luxurious, stylish and have a good size. Nice bathroom too. Real value for money.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel is very near to the airport and has a free shuttle service. Takes less than 5 minutes to reach the airport.

would i stay here again? i would say yes, if i was ever again in kota kinabalu for a short stay or perhaps the next time i'd love to visit tg aru beach for the lovely sunsets again. this hotel was only a 5-10 mins car ride from the air asia terminal. the free pick-up service provided with compliments from the hotel, with prior arrangement of course was an additional plus point for us. service staffs were friendly and helpful. i found the rooms a bit small but it was clean no doubt. the free wifi was an added advantage for us to search for travel information upon touching down in kota kinabalu. the only setbacks we encounter was perhaps the air conditioning in the room we stayed wasn't cool enough and there were no lifts. however this hotel is only 3 stories high, so unless you have a whole lot of huge luggages, stairs won't be much of a problem. besides the ever helpful staffs will willingly assist you in getting your luggages to your room, regardless which floor you are staying in. getting a shuttle to nearby destinations was easy to arrange at the front desk as the hotels shuttle service is readily available and at an affordable rate too.

the group of 3 of us found the family room slightly small. the double bed was a bit small to accommodate 2 large sized persons, fine for small-sized asians like us though. aircond was superb, wifi on the 3rd floor was good. toilets and sheets were clean, which was good. this hotel only has stairs servicing their 3 floors, so if you find stairs a problem, then do not stay here. otherwise, the hotel is quite a good place to stay in tanjung aru area. it is pretty quiet, local food can be found nearby, as well as convenience store located just opposite the hotel. hotel shuttle can be easily and affordable to arrange for getting to nearby surroundings. service staffs are very helpful and friendly.
