it takes only 10-15 mimutes to city. The shuttle bus service is great and cheap (RM 3 per head).
The room is ok, a very spacious balcony with very nice sea view.
The breakfast is not so good. The choices of buffet breakfast is quite limited.

Aging hotel fronting South China Sea

We stayed here for 3 nights with rooms facing the marina and South China Sea. We had the top floor with balconies facing the marina and South China Sea. Nice view! However, our room was beginning to age and the air conditioning was not cool and created squeeky sounds which made my first night unbearable. Luckily, we were able to change rooms the following day and that solved the problem.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The breakfast buffet on offer this time around is much less at my last stay in 2003. Opt to not pay for breakfast if there is an option when booking the hotel.

This was our last hotel in Borneo and Exec upgrade. It was a lovely hotel, staff were gracious but not overbearing.
Full marks for everything.
Travel tip:
Make sure you take the short boat trip to one of the Islands for snorkelling. Keep still in the water and hold your nerve and soon you will be surrounded by small colourful and inquisitive reef fish, bumping into you mask and nibbling you toes!

different kind of food can be chosen for the breakfast and having the breakfast next to swimming pool.
the shuttle bus is provided to the town every hour.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Go to waterfront at night. Enjoy the sunset, the seaview and the dinner so relax and romatic.
But next to waterfront, The philippine market and centre market is dirty.
You can go to milimewa superstore to buy the white coffee for souvenIr.

the whole hotel view is awesome, very very great facilities there. esp. the pool view in magellan, incredible!!! very good for couple living. if possible, suggest to reserve 1-2 days to stay magellan to enjoy the views and service.
ps. can also go to pacific wing swimming pool and beach!! it's great!!
there is only one point that is not good there, the room is small (compare to kk hotel 63 i lived before). and the shower water temperature is not stable, it will become very vold when u are bathing. :(
but the view is really good and worth to tourist to stay in magellan.
Restaurant Tip:
The breakfast there is not yummy.
