Great Location but needs a fefurb.
Close to KK and the airport.
7.3
Although we booked a deluxe seaview in the Pacific club rooms, they were unable to give us a room with a balcony (apparently they are first come first served). The only way we could get a balcony room was to upgrade to a suite at a sunstantail additional cost which was dissappointing.

Old hotel, need to be renovated
Big resort, great facilities
5.3
This is the 3rd time I stayed in this hotel. However, the experience is getting worse. The decoration inside the room is old. My room even had water leakage from the ceiling. The price is expensive but not value for money. Once the shuttle bus was complimentary but now need 3RM per trip.

You just cannot fault this resort. Firstly it is massive! There are 2 resorts that you have access to - the Pacific and the Magellan which probably has more to offer.
The check in was speedy, rooms are large, so many choices for food whether it's the 24hr cafe, seafood, snacks, spicy up market food it's all there for you.
When it comes to activities again there are so many choices. Massive pools, island hopping, snorkelling, boating, all that the sea has to offer and then there's golf, ten pin bowling, tennis, badminton.
We stayed a week and never got bored, it was just the perfect stay!
Restaurant Tip:
Go to the Windbell Seafood Restaurant which is about 15min by taxi. Cheap fresh seafood you cook at your own table.

Nice and friendly staff. Hotel in-house dining is quite expensive. If you are staying in this hotel, take the shuttle bus to the town and get what you need; snacks, beer, and etc. There is nothing nearby within the walking distance. Great place for family
Nightlife Tip:
The Jug Bar owned by the hotel - happy hour rate is quite reasonable

Hotel with great service
Well facilitated with 3 swimming pools
8.3
The stay was short but very comfortable. There are 3 swimming pools. The seaview was nice. There's a pub to chill out too.
Location is not so good though. Need to call a cab to go out. If by walking, the distance out of the compound alone will take at least 5 minutes, and there's nothing much out there.

Great facilities, beautiful views
Use of whole 350acre resort and multiple pools, beaches and facilities

Enjoyed staying in The Pacific Sutera a lot. Having full access to the full resort facilities is a such a bonus. Great breakfasts and resterant options too. And Don't miss the coconut and guilane (choc/hazelnut) icecream from Muffinz over at The Magellan area of the Sutera Harbour.
