Efficient, clean business hotel
Location, cleanliness, facilities
8.3
checked in efficiently using the business suit at their recommendation to print out of agoda booking voucher. swiftly shown to our room with our luggage. room was a good size, clean and with well cared for towels and bedding. only downside: our sink surface was broken into three bits and had been epoxy-ed back together. not great athestically speaking.
staff were friendly although i didn't like the fact that one male staff member wore sunglasses and you didn't have eye contact or see who he was looking at in their bikini's (!).
service in cafe boleh was also very slow at lunchtime even though they were relatively empty.
seaquest staff who provided island transfers were a disappointing. they forgot to collect us at 4pm from one of the islands where we spent the day on the beach. when we were left behind we watch all the staff pile onto a boat and one threw their litter over the side. not exactly responsible or the standards i would expect from such hotel staff.
Restaurant Tip:
El Centro cafe - a rustic cafe/restaurant, arty and with a charming rustic feel. Very good prices for food (e.g Daily special was a filo pastry vegetable parcel with salad. They try and use organic produce without artificial flavourings such as MSG (widely used in Malaysian restaurants) and everything is prepared freshly.

We keep comeing back here
Handy to island tours, zoo, airport, and kids playground
9.3
The stay this time was little noisy due to the Jazz Festival outside the country club and about 500m from the window. This does only happen once a year and is great if you like Jazz (Mid June).
Driving to the zoo from here takes about 20min and getting to the kids playground with musical night fountain takes about 5-10min (drive)
Island tours are handled just outside the hotel near the marina, these no need to go to the jetty in town.
Lots of pools to swim the kids at, very little shade though.

Large tourist hotel but with good faciities
Service good, great location, pool good

Large hotel good for families and business travellers. Not very romantic but I was there with a friend to relax. Nice pool which was not that busy bu if the hotel was full I think it would be to small. There seemed to be alot of coach trips and business conferences there.

Great facilities, just a little far out from town
8.7
The hotel had everything you needed and there was no requirement to leave if you did not want to.
Just a little bit too far out from the town centre (30mins walk)

nice but expected more
pool, and easy access to town
5.7
For a 5 star hotel, it lacked the luster you would expect. We entered the room and had blown light globes hot water issues. There is no lift from the car park, and we were not allowed to park in front of check in. so dragging suitcases up the ramp and carrying things to the front door, is not the way l usually check in to a hotel let alone a 5 star one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
go to the near the public park near terminal 2, free musical fountain and great playground area for the kids! Shows start at 7.30pm

excellent hotel, great location, friendly staff
location and restuarants available

pacific sutera is very nice hotel if you would like to stay away from city centre. In fact if you are traveling to KK better you stay away from city it is relaxing and peacful. The hotel contains number of international causines including indian, italian, orintal foods. There are some activities also within hotel that you can do. It is only 5 to 10 minutes drive from KK international airport.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I recommend rafting is very nice if you travel to KK also visit mount Knabalo. There is afternoon-evening cruise which looks also nice but we did't try as we did't have enough time.
