Poor air conditioners Well, its an overall pretty good hotel. With new decorations and a not too small swimming pool/gym, we did spend half a day in the hotel before another activity.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try to find those charge by meter taxi.

good value for money, clean, front desk efficient, they thcould improve the quality and the variety of the food offered for breakfast accordingly to the International guests;
no minibar;
they could improve the room service and the service at the main bar in terms of availability of choice; I recommend the Palace Hotel for a short stay in transit from KK to other destinations within Sabah.
The room are very simple but modern and clean but the variety of the food served at breakfast is poor and it could be improved.

it's clean
the exterior is quite attractive
there is a swimming pool though it's very small a bit old
a bit too dark
not feeling comfortable It is not a very good choice if you want to stay for a long day or a long night. it's okay if you just stay for a very short night and will leave early the next day.
the staff are helpful and nice. the bed is not very comfortable. The blanket is not good. not bed cover.
Travel tip : nothing special you can do. but there is a shopping mall.

The hotel is clean, sleek and comfortable. Buffet breakfast has a limited selection but had a different menu on the 2nd day of my stay. Friendly and helpful staff. LARGE ROOMS BUT OLDER HOTEL.. FROM TOWN HARD TO FIND IF YOU ARE DRIVING.. This hotel was good with quite large older rooms..it is a little out of the way and i found found that because it was near a large shopping
Complex their were lots of fly overs /unders you could easily miss the drive ...but it is close to the airport...so to stay a couple of nights was o k ...

quiet location
staff is helpful no toiletries in the room.
Need to be requested. I appreciate a lady staff at the reception who helped me call the airport taxi company on a "dispute" I had with them. Though the receipt does not have the telephone number, she researched and spoke to the staff. Nothing resolved, but I appreciate her gesture

Good location. Friendly staff. The frequency of the shuttle bus is not enough. The staff is quite friendly and helpful and efficient. The location of the hotel is quiet yet within walkable distance to the central of the town. The provision of free shuttle bus is good but not enough. The food of the breakfast is not in great variety but is still OK. Overall this hotel is worthy to recommend. I will come back again next time I come to KK.
Restaurant Tip : The evening food stalls nearby have cheap & delicious seafood at night.

Good clean functional room, spacious Extremely poor restaurant, BAD breakfast and useless "Welcome Drink" vouchers (gets you tea or coffee)
Not value for money as I have stayed in better hotels for the price I paid for the room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Car Hire in Kota Kinabalu works out much cheaper than taking a "Guided" tour. Get a good map from the Hotel/Airport and it will be a much more enjoyable experience.

A new hotel with clean and comfortable rooms and friendly, professional staff. The breakfast was good and the location near the temples served our needs.
Restaurant Tip : Try Red Piano restaurant in the town center and its signature pasta. Tuktuk ride to town costs 3$.

The hotel was under renovation so the gym and pool were closed and there was not much to do in the hotel. However, once the renovation process is finished, The Palace will be a really nice place to stay. The newly renovated rooms were clean and spacious and nicely decorated and the staff was friendly.
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel provides a free van transportation to the town center and back three times a day.
