This tropical beach resort, situated just 40-minutes from Kota Kinabalu, is nestled on a five kilometer stretch of pristine coastline. Guests will enjoy a myriad of available recreational activities, including seaside activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and beachcombing. The resort includes six function halls, perfect for any social event. The on-site dining options are vast as well, with a choice of Malay, Chinese, and western cuisine that is served in a romantic ambience. The Tuaran Beach Resort is the perfect venue for travelers that want tropical beach access, modern chalets, and a wide selection of on-site facilities.
Renovation
Please note that the Fun Pub will undergo renovation from 10th December 2009 to 04th January 2010. The band will be performing at the Lobby during the renovation period. The hotel will do their best to keep the noise at a minimum. They apologize for the inconvenience beforehand.

The Coffee House
guests can choose to dine in cool air-conditioning or al-fresco on the balcony outside. Both areas offer pleasant views of the hotel Resort's garden and the sea beyond.
The ala-carte menu and beverage list offers diverse and hearty meals and drinks suitable for all-day dining. In the mornings, have a look at the breakfast menu for a large selection for various palates. For smaller stomachs, the coffee house also includes a children's menu.

The Poor Bar
The Pool Bar is a soothing and relaxing place to lounge on a long laid-back afternoon. Located between the swimming and the beach, the Bar serves snacks and most kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Lobby Lounge
The Lobby Lounge is another area in the Resort that allows guests to relax and enjoy the abundant reading material along with drinks and snacks. Guests may help themselves to the books, magazines and newspapers in the Lounge. However, any borrowings must be registered with the counter in the Lounge.
The lounge's menu include small but delicious dishes such as burgers, chips, fried chicken and ice cream.

The Convenience Shop
the Convenience Shop next to the Lobby Lounge and browse through our collection of souvenir and knick-knacks like handicraft, traditional and beach wear and accessories. You can also pick up some essentials like toiletries and snacks during your stay at Tuaran Beach Resort here.

poor breakfast. poor and lazy staff.
to far into nowhere. 45 min minimum to KK, 15 to the next civilisation and the last mile absolute gravel road. Lost without a car.
To get there is hard, as the resort is located 45 km away from KK in the middle of nowhere. The hotel was extremely noisy, not only because of the construction work. Without a car, you are totally lost there.
The breakfast was poor and the staff pretty lazy.
The resort overall could be a very nice location, but the staff does not allow it to be.

the facilities and the people there. they are truly nice and always smile to the guest. the road entering the resort was a bit confusing and the entertainment there are limited. I love the scenery there but I think for cleanliness around the resort till have to improve. Besides, they could also add in more beach activities. I like the idea that they provide local games for the guest to play but the time available could be extend.
The food there was not bad but might be a bit too costly.
On the other hand, I'm a bit unhappy that the receptionist requested us to keep our voice down because there's VIP from UK stay at the same floor with me. In my opinion, I did not make noise but the management request us to keep our voice down. In addition, I've paid the same amount like others but why should I show the respect to others whereas the others did not? I'm not trying to be offensive but I think that the management should be more rational.

Good service and very accomodating. Quite secluded location specially for beach bummers.
Out of town and remote access is costly with high taxi fares to town. Shuttle service is there but not very comfortable Turan beach resort has a good beach and is located in a remote
Side of Kota kinabalu. The breakfast is ok but not very exciting.
Time of the year is very critical before travelling to this town. Just avoid the rainiy and windy season because becomes inaccesible.
