Here you can not swim because of jellyfishes, everything is old and dirty, problems with water and electricity finally made us leave that place for a better one.

perfect for horse riders

the room was clean, with a balcony. during our stay hotel was pretty empty, so facilities were closing much earlier. placed in a quiet part of the island, perfect to get away and relax. next to the hotel, stables, part of the resort, providing tours on the horse back with local guide was a great experience.
Travel tip:
adviced to rent a car, resort is away from city (10 min drive to local sunday shop), only 15 min drive to rasa ria resort (many restaurants opened till late,facilities,orangutan rescue centre)

The hotel is about 75 minutes outside Kota Kinabalu, the last few km of which are down a dirt road. There is nothing near it and the occupancy rate is low. By far the majority are on Saga holidays and so of pensionable age. Expensive for what it is and just rather dull, but the staff are pleasant and helpful.
Travel tip:
There's very little here.

Tuaran beach resort
Beautiful long beach and beautiful pool. Very nice bedroom. Baby cot for free. Very calm hotel, very relaxing.

This hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere. Usually that would be a bonus for us, and somethign we actively seekout. However there is nothign close to the hotel and the way out is massively difficult because of the dirt track leading to it. ( it doesnt really make you feel welcome.
We stayed two nights and it wasnt worth the relatively high price, the Rasa Ria was 20 pounds more and in a hugely different league!
THere are 100+ rooms at this hotel and it couldnt have had more than 10 guests during our time. The food was mediocre and this is compounded by the face that you literally cant eat anywhere else. It feels like a hotel that is on its last legs, and dont think it will be around much longer.
I would not return here and there are better options for similar prices.

To get there is hard, as the resort is located 45 km away from KK in the middle of nowhere. The hotel was extremely noisy, not only because of the construction work. Without a car, you are totally lost there.
The breakfast was poor and the staff pretty lazy.
The resort overall could be a very nice location, but the staff does not allow it to be.

the facilities and the people there. they are truly nice and always smile to the guest.

I love the scenery there but I think for cleanliness around the resort till have to improve. Besides, they could also add in more beach activities. I like the idea that they provide local games for the guest to play but the time available could be extend.
The food there was not bad but might be a bit too costly.
On the other hand, I'm a bit unhappy that the receptionist requested us to keep our voice down because there's VIP from UK stay at the same floor with me. In my opinion, I did not make noise but the management request us to keep our voice down. In addition, I've paid the same amount like others but why should I show the respect to others whereas the others did not? I'm not trying to be offensive but I think that the management should be more rational.

Turan beach resort has a good beach and is located in a remote
Side of Kota kinabalu. The breakfast is ok but not very exciting.
Time of the year is very critical before travelling to this town. Just avoid the rainiy and windy season because becomes inaccesible.

Never go to this isolated resort has no beach.

there is no beach. however you can see seaside.
You cannot choose your favorit thing. you must use only expensive materials given by the hotel.
the room rate is cheap but you charge continueously for your staying, eating and drinking in the hotel price.
Don't go, if you don't get 'all inclusive'package, otherwise you will expearience only 'the good prison'.
