poor facilities but centrally located

Upon arrival the room type we booked (private with aircon and bathroom) was not available. We were eventually booked into a family room instead. Room was very very cramped and the window opened onto the communal area which made it impossible to sleep before 3AM. We understand that communal areas are a great place to meet people, but if you sleep next to one it's much less fun! Also the live music in the rainforest bar next door is very loud.
Also the room was quite dirty, thebathroom didn't seem cleaned at all. Towels have holes in them. would definitely not recommend this place, there are much better budget places in kk

We didn't stay long in the hotel only few hours. When we arrived I didn't find the staff very smiley and also they asked us for all the passports (4 of us) which I think it's too much and annoying (1 should be enough).

99% - Great place to stay

x-plorer is located in the centre of places to visit.eg , jetty to the island , local seafood by the water front , shopping centre . it is also surrounded by food stalls in coffee shops and cafe within walking distances.
the staff are friendly and helpful , rooms and beds are clean , air/con is cold , rest and bath rooms are sufficient, tv , wifi are available .
the only one problem is that it is a little difficult to locate for first timers .
although the address is 106/108 jalan gaya , the entrance is actually located behind that address and there are no signs to direct you the the back entrance , which faces an open car park .
hope the owners could put up a sign board the give proper directions .

Cheap, staff are friendly, air conditioning working, not loud at night

The Lodge is a great way for a stay in KK considering the fact that the room is used primarily for sleep. The room that i got was spacious. However the toilet was kind of cramped and the water pressure was on the low side even with the water pump. Generally satisfied and may one day stay there again.

Great Location for a relaxing holiday. less than 10 minutes walk to Jesselton Point to take the boat out to the islands. Taxi service is right around the corner and plenty of 24 hours convenient stores and eateries around
