Central, near facilities, room was clean and well equipped - iron, TV, haidryer etc The lobby smelt of cigarette smoke, as did many of the landings. Breakfast was limited and very crowded with not enough tables for all the guests. The Alpha Genesis Hotel in Kuala Lumpur was centrally situated and close to shops and other amenities. The outside of the hotel was not particularly attractive and the inside of the lobby had a very bad smell of cigarette smoke. This was a smell that was also present on many of the landings. Only three floors appeared to be no-smoking zones. The reception staff were very efficient and friendly, although they told us our booked room had changed and we were now staying on the 9th floor, but they didn't explain if there was a difference in the quality of rooms. Actually the room was very comfortable and well equipped with iron, TV, hairdryer, fridge, kettle and teabags. There was a large window with an interesting view over the surrounding neighbourhood. During the night it was a little noisy at times as the walls were obviously thin, but we did sleep well and the bed was comfortable and clean. In the morning breakfast was very crowded and there were not enough tables for all the guests. We ended up sitting on a small table right next to the main entrance. The breakfast was very basic - white bread and jam or cereal. It would have been nice to have had slightly more choice, such as some cooked eggs, and not to have to jostle to get near to the food. A notice was put under the door during the night informing of the guest check-out time which was very useful. In all it was a comfortable and convenient hotel to stay at and the price of the room was reasonable. Better breakfasts and less smoking would be appreciated!

the hotel is is a wonderful location, near lots of good shopping and jalan alor, which has great food. It is clean and the staff if very friendly. the breakfasts are a bit minimal and they water the milk, which give a bad impression. You can order eggs. the dining room is a bit crowded but pleasant. We enjoyed our stay at the Alpha Genesis hotel. The rooms were clean and modern, though the rooms don't have much in the way of places to store your clothes. The breakfasts are okay, but on the minimal side and I'm pretty sure they water the milk, which I found distasteful. The hotel has a great location, near malls and interesting streets and is parallel to Jalan Alor, which has fabulous restaurants and is devoted to food. I would go to the hotel again. The staff is very helpful.
Nightlife Tip : Great food at Jalan Alor, which is parallel with the street where the hotel is located.

health spa facility, good location, great view from room not many cable tv channels Staff were friendly and efficient, they have a desk you can book tours from.
Western and Malaysian breakfast options available.
Rooms are very clean, includes mini fridge (unstocked) and cable tv (limited channels). Bathroom includes a bath and good powered shower, slippers provided aswell.
Hotel is conveniently located right next to a few pub/bars, a street full of hawker stalls and 3 minute walk away from a large selection of shopping malls.

good location, clean, great air conditioner the man who served me when I checked-in, were not friendly. He was unpatient and seemed annoyed when I asked him about my invoice. I was a bit dissappointed, and I thought he gave me a bad first impression about how the hotel staff treated the guest. I was happy though to find that the hotel was surrounded by many good restaurants outside, so easy to enjoy Malaysian food. I was also happy that the air conditioner was so cool and convenient. I liked to stay in the hotel, because it was clean, homy and reasonable rate for such a good location in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Restaurant Tip : very easy to find good restaurant. enjoy mny options of Malaysian spicy food.

location and cleanliness is ok the breakfast food is not ok, same every morning. and electrical sockets are not universal..you need to ask hotel to provide during day time. as for the stay, basically we are ok with it, people are accommodating in the hotel..the only thing we didn't like is the breakfast, it is like a cost cutting everyday same meal meal which is not ok with us tourists. hopefully they can improve on that better.
Hotel Feature Tip : bring universal outlet adapter for your chargers, it will lessen the time and hassle looking for it.

stay for 2 days in Alpha Genesis. It located at the centre of bukit bintang. Walking distance to Sungai Wang shopping centre, Jalan Alor which full of local food is just at the behind.
With the price for what we pay, we didn't expect much to get a service as a 5 star hotel. The rooms is quite spaces but the bed is a bit small. The cover of the bed also can see a bit rough, seem like wash for quite many time.
We stay for 2 days, and the breakfast is different for each day. The taste of the food is acceptable.
Due to the location, will consider to stay again or get a better one.

Good location & reasonable price. The car park seemed too small to pass a bigger vehicle, but for protons is OK! The location of Alpha Genesis is excellent,easy access to major shopping malls in Bukit Bintang area (within walking distance.The Jalan Alor provided local foods & fruits in many choices. And the price for this hotel is reasonable as compared to others in Jalan Bukit Bintang. But of course, if you wish to take a cab,my advice is to stay away from those waiting just outside the hotels as you'll sure be disappointed (the fare is terribly high!) The car park is also a problems as the spaces seemed only permitted small vehicle to pass!!Overall, I'm still satisfied with this hotel if you're a budget traveler!
Restaurant Tip : The Jalan Alor next to this hotel provides foods & fruits with local delights!

Good rooms & breakfast This hotel is a good place to stay. The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. The bathrooms are getting old. The breakfast was summier, but ok. Cons was that the internet didn't work properly, which was noticed after the cards were paid. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby.

- Breakfast is quite good.
- Near Food Center. - Quite far from MRT station.
- Bathroom need to be improved. When we get down in Bukit Bintang MRT station, it is quite difficult to find the hotel, and its quite far from MRT Station.
But the hotel is quite nice & clean, and the breakfast is also good. The hotel is also near the 24hr food center, so whenever you want to eat in the early morning, it is not a problem.
Restaurant Tip : Behind the hotel is the famous Jalan Alor which is 24hr Food Center.

Clean, staffs are helpful, not a big hotel but every thing is in tiny we heard a weird sound or voice every night and no teethbrush is provided location is good, just a 10 mins walk to the main street (Bukit Bitang), for dining, for shopping, for sightseeing are all convenience. The only cons I think is the breakfast, not much choice too choose and like every morning is almost the same meals.

i like the location of the hotel. it is near to shopping malls and restaurants. the room rates also not expensive. the breakfast should be improved. i hope there will be more kinds of food, snacks and cakes. over all, i like the hotel. i am satisfied with this hotel. it is comfortable, near the city and also not expensive.
Restaurant Tip : there are many restaurants selling all kinds of food behind the hotel.

Good location as it near to Bukit Bintang shopping central area and food street, room price is reasonable, and staff is helpful. Hotel: Is a small building (not really like a 3 star hotel). Parking: Located at hotel basement and the road to there is narrow and not many parking lots. Overall still ok if you are looking at budget hotel. No nice view when you look out from the room window as you can only see all those old buildings. But the food street is very near as it is just located at the next street behind the hotel.
Shopping Tip : 10mins walk to Bukit Bintang shopping central and 15mins walk to Berjaya Times Square.

Quite clean and have a lot of restaurants. The staff are very helpful. The styles of the room are very interesting but I'm not so sure for the drinking water and mini bar, they don't have much but just a pot, coffee and tea. But never mind because if you need to stay just for travel, this hotel is the choice.
