i had always stayed at Ancasa Hotel when i am in KL. The hotel is near to puduraya bus station and chinatown. Around the hotel, one can easily visit KLCC, Sunway, Mid-valley shopping centres via LRT or local public buses. Hence, it is very convenient to move around. Around the hotel, there are fast food joints like Mac and A&W, coffee shops etc, watsons, guardian stores etc. the hotel is pretty ok, spacious with the required ammendities. i love booking my hotel through agoda website as there is always a online chatroom where someone can assist me whenever i encounter any problems. thanks.

near pudu station.

security and breakfast.

  • Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : there are buses around the hotel to various shopping centres in KL. ask the hotel staff and they will be able to guide you.

The hotel is very well located, only 7 minutes walking to the subway station, the staff is friendly as well, the breakfast offered by the hotel fits both Asian and western travelers. Though internet access is not provided by the hotel, there are many internet cafes in the nearby Chinatown, local food can alo been found there; KFC and Macdonalds are within 50 meters distance as well. Overall i will recommend this hotel to budget travelers.

Good location

No internet access in the room

The hotel location is excellent. The puduraya bus terminal nearby provides a good opportunity to move on to another destination in Malaysia or neighbouring countries like Thiland or Singapore. Service standard is high and the buffet breakfast is to good standards. Will definitely come back on my next visit.

Well maintained and excellent location

If you need to buy lots of souvenirs Ancasa Hotel is suitable for you. It's the best place in area chinatown. But if you're looking for the modern, big & nice one, you should find others. Nice chinese food with reasonable price in chinatown. Don't forget to try BBQ Pork, Yummy.

Very close to chinatown & central market so you can bargain & buy lots of local souvenirs. They're cheaper than big shopping mall in bukit bintang.

Very small room , my friend found a small cockroach on the floor. Too little breakfast.

Ancasa is a hotel that I would recommend as it represents good value for money. I found it to be very comfortable, with spacious and well appointed rooms, and with good service. There is a great buffet breaskfast included within the tarrif. The location within Chinatown is very convenient and the hotel is easily accessible being close to the bus and train services. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient. I would not hesitate staying here again.

Good location in Chinatown, easily accessible by public tranport, very reasonable price, good buffet breakfast

We stayed at Ancasa in July and August. We did enjoy the stay there, nice hotel, clean, well presented, receptionists very helpful. Buffet breakfast nice and various kinds of breakfasts were served. Location is great, close to china town and few minutes from Puduraya bus station. nice shopping in china town.

Clean, close to Chinatown, good reception, nice buffet, close to major bus station.

Though hotel is nice and clean, area not too clean outside.

  • Shopping Tip : Great deals at Chinatown which is close by.

What a fantastic hotel and fantastic staff. Before arriving we had read the reviews and were ready for a rude receptionist and small rooms....not so! The receptionist, doormen, waiters, cleaners..everyone was extremely helpful and served with a smile. The location is a 5 min walk to China Town where the hussle and bussle of the markets and great massage places can be found. It is also 15 min walk to "Indian Markets". There are taxis at your door or buses within 5 min walk. We stayed in the superior room and found it alot bigger than we had thought..it was clean...and exactly what we needed for our rests between shopping. The breakfast buffet was excellent!! My wife and I will be recommending this spot to our friends....in fact, we met up with other tourists who were staying at other "nicer" hotels, and they said that ours was perfectly priced and the location was better!! We ended up walking everywhere, to embrace the city and cause we could. A bus is needed to visit Petronas Towers. There is a night club at the hotel...and the band were really good! Terima Khasi. (thankyou)

Close to China Town and its fantastic markets. Close to banks, bus stop, local food places. The rooms were well kept. The staff were fantastic and super friendly, not to mention helpful at all times. The breakfast that was included in our stay was excellent....western and eastern dishes to choose from.

We could not fault the hotel. We were pleased with the price we payed and what we got!

  • Travel tip : ATM's at the bank across the road closed at midnight....so make sure you are cashed up or have credit card access.

Can be better. Guest Rating: 4.0

We found the location of this hotel ideal for our needs as it seems to be in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It is close to the Parliament buildings (Merdeka Square) and within walking distance to the Pertronas towers and KL tower. There is a plethora of eateries whether it's western, Chinese or Indian fayre you crave, it's all within reach. The night market is a hop skip and a jump away. The staff greet you with politeness and courtesy , always with a warm smile. Our room (standard) had a magnificent window facing sunsets that colored the city below us in memorable hues of reds and yellows. The only negative comment we have is that even today the management still allows smoking in the lobby. The hotel is not smoke free. We have stayed in many hotels in KL but this one will see us again and again and perhaps next time we go there I will speak with the manager directly about the smoking.

Location is great, close to Jalan Petaling and Central Market the bus terminal as well as monorail and train station. We walked to Petronas Towers (but took taxi back)

The thin carepeting in our room. Housekeeping only left us with two large clean towels but no face cloths or hand towels. We requested them but still they did not understand our request. The buffet breakfast is the same for 3 days in a row. For the longer stay client it could be varied somewhat.

  • Travel tip : The train station(near the hotel) is one stop away from the KL Lake Gardens, Butterfly farm, Orchid Farm and the Bird Sanctuary. The directions to get there are simple and very inexpensive. Do use the public transit if on budget but the taxi rides are still reasonable...make certain you ask for metered taxi.

our room had a nice view overlooking singapore, including KL tower, and the Petronas towers in the distance. The closest attraction is Chinatown, which i wouldnt recommend for the shopping but has good food! The hotel is also right next door to Puduraya bus terminal for long distance travel. There are two train stations nearby- Raykat (closest) and Pasar Seni. The staff were very helpful and bargained a good taxi fare for us.

Good view, good service

Not very close to shopping areas- takes about 30 min to Bukit Bintang

  • Restaurant Tip : The going rate for a bottle of Tiger beer is RM $8- $10 at Hawker stalls, best to ask the price before ordering just in case!

This hotel is recommended to those who are budget conscious. In the heart of the city, it is within walking distance to Chinatown and the market. In the evening Chinatown is filled with tourists and you can get your gifts from here.

Located in the heart of the city - it is convenient to visit the market, Chinatown, shops (Berjaya Times Square, KLCC, etc)from here. There are lots of eating places near the Hotel. Chinatown (Petaling Street) is just 5 minutes walk away - you can buy your gifts from here.

There is always traffic congestion around the Hotel - so if you drive a car, it is hard to get in and out. There is no safe in the room - valuables have to be stored in a room behind the reception area (at no cost).

  • Shopping Tip : If shopping in Chinatown/ Petaling Street, you need to bargain hard.
