Centrally located, reasonable price, clean room, room service
No non-smoking rooms, loud street noise, tough spot for taxi drop off
Although we only stayed one night we found the Ancasa to be fairly priced and relatively comfortable. The neighborhood is very busy 24hrs a day with lots going on outside. The hotel has a coffee shop downstairs that seemed to have a wide variety of food and was open late. It is very close to chinatown and the night market.
Restaurant Tip : 24 hour Mcdonalds across the street!

Easy access to many sights, either on foot or by train
Hotel needs to improve on cleanliness
The hotel is just across the road from Puduraya Train Station, which is the first stop for some of the airport busses. The location is also convenient for exploring KL on foot or by train. Check-in staff and concierge were friendly, and the room was ready on arrival. We stayed in a good-sized superior room on the 4th floor, and although we would have preferred a higher floor, the room was reasonably quiet considering that we were looking down on what must be one of the busiest intersections in KL. The breakfast buffet has a good selection and caters for many different tastes.
Cleanliness needs a bit of improvement. On arrival we discovered a lolly wrapper from previous guests under the bathroom sink, it was still there when we left after 3 nights. I doubt that the bathroom floor was swept during our stay. Sheets were changed daily, however, on the last night, while they might have been freshly laundered, they had disgusting stains all over.
Overall, the hotel is OK for a short stopover.

Convenient location, good breakfast, nice service.
Problem with the shower, small cockroach in the room, and expensive charge for wireless internet connection.
The hotel is situated near the China Town, close to Plaza Rakyat station. If travaling from KLIA, I suggest you to change to Starline at Rasik Selatan. Don't go direct to KL Sentral; otherwise you have to take two more trains (and pay separately for the two trains) in order to get to Plaza Rakyat. In general, I think Ancasa Hotel qualifies as a marginal 4-star hotel given its quality of room, breakfast, and service. The only bad thing is there are small cockroaches inside the room. However, this problem is quite common to many hotels in KL, or you have to pay more to live in a 5-star hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : Charge for wireless internet connection in your room is very expensive. There is a plenty of internet cafe around the hotel where you can get online. So I think there is no need to bring your laptop with you.

Good food in Saffron Brassier and centrally located.
In the heart of Chinatown and short walk to LRT Plaza Ratyat station and Pudrajaya bus terminal. Great food in Saffron Brassier. Night market and McDonalds closeby.

good location; very close to Chinatown and within walking distance (20min) to Bukit Bintang and Petronas Building.
Old hotel, need some renovation
This is a good value for money hotel. It is good for a quick stop-over. The hotel is a little old but location is good. The room is standard, a little small with double bed. Disregard the cigarette marks in the bathroom, it is reasonably clean. As long as you do not expect much from the hotel it is a good value for money (we pay USD 55).

Hotel is located just beside pudrajaya bus terminal and chinatown. Very convenient.
Hotel room is a bit small and bathroom might need some repairs.
Hotel is just LRT away from Sungei Wang Plaza, Time Square and Low Yat Plaza. You can also take the taxi at McDonald's beside the hotel (Not the one in front) at around $2 to Bukit Bintang. Hotel has a nice view in front with KL tower and twin towers. The lobby staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good.

Near shopping areas, convenient, walking distance to Chinatown, superb selection of breakfast food, value for money.
Cigarette odor in room. Receptionist is a bit rude on my inquiries.
We stayed here on 2 separate occasions and the smoke odor lingered througout eventhough we were on smoke free floors, when we asked for a king size bed staff was not very accomodating-they promised to put our twin beds together, which they failed to do. Hotel was nice enough to set our packed breakfast on our departure date because we are leaving KL very early.

Cleaniness needed to be improved.
Location is very convenient and accessible with bus interchange and KTM nearby. The receptionist is courteous, friendly. Room was generally clean with nice interior deco. Location was near the chinatown which attracted my stay. Nearby was easy to find food and night attractions. Partally also there was promotional discount during my stay.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walk along central market towards Merdeka and national mosque, also see the KL Tower and Petronas with park. Nice, but can make it in two days - that would be enough.

Hotel Internet is quite slow for a lot of money.
Hotel Feature Tip : You get free Internet in the lobby right next to tourism desk or across the street at Starbucks.

Shopping Tip : A great find for me was the nearby "Junk" book shop, 3 floors of excellent second-hand books. And you can bargain!
