A nice pleasant stay, friendly & helpful staff would certainly recommend the hotel. The room came with a fridge which was handy and staff gave 2 small bottles of water on a daily basis.

A nice boutique hotel in great location, near the local restaurants, shopping malls and bars but you still get a quiet night. Rooftop terrace is nice, but bar hours seemed eratic and breakfast service was slow.

The hotel, itself, was very attractive - VERY nicely designed room. A small fridge and a kettle would have been good. Although we only ate breakfast at the hotel, it was very disappointing - the worst we have had compared to similar hotels. Many options were not available and when requested combinations were not allowed. Milk was off!
Also, one day we returned to the room at 3pm and it had not been cleaned.
Staff were helpful and Vietnamese restaurant next door - FANTASTIC!

Didn't match expectations; over-priced

Whilst we enjoyed our stay at the Anggun Hotel, we were expecting a lot more given the price and it's reputation (website reviews, guide booked etc.).
Good: The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Raindrop shower was lovely. The location was reasonable (though I would probably recommend staying in Chinatown as Bukit Bintang is a bit of a trek to the main sights) and there were a good number of excellent restaurants in the area. Bukit Bintang is a tad seedy after dark. Breakfast was to order and was tasty though would have like to see a bit more on the plate! The hotel was very stylishly and beautifully decorated.
Bad: The room was very small. It may have just been our particular room but we barely had space to squeeze our suitcases between bed and wardrobe. Service wise, we had the issue of (having check-in) entering into an unmade room. Whilst we would not have minded waiting in the lobby whilst our room was prepared, we felt it was poor service to send us up to a room which had not been cleaned. This meant that we then had to go back down to speak to reception who then called for the room to be cleaned. The lift was also very slow (and we couldn't find any stairs).
Overall: It is a lovely boutique hotel but was let down by a few fundamental problems - iffy service, a very small room and over-priced. We came with sky-high expectations and left feeling a little frustrated and short-changed.

Staff were efficient and spoke good english. They arranged transfers from the airport which in KL may be an issue.
The hotel is right near the bus stop for the hop on hop off tour of the city, and it is close to restaurants, and a street market. Location was great.
Breakfast was good, with a reasonable choice.
