the roof top swimming pool and sky lounge is very strategically located, giving you full appreciation of the twin tower

the deco is really old, no plasma tv, feel like i am living in a 5 star hotel from the last century

the hotel staff are very friendly, but with so many better hotels around, i dont think i will go back to this one, unless they do some serious renovation of their rooms

Nightlife Tip : all the clubs are around the corner, u dont even need a taxi

The Ascott in Kuala Lumpur is ideal for families. We stayed in a two bedroom appartement with was perfect for us with three small children. The appartment was very spacious, with all the comodities: two TVs, full kitchen, two complete bathroom and a very nice beds. The swimming pool has a very nice view of the Petronas. The building is very well located with eassy access (even walking) to many tourist attractions and enterteiment areas.

Our stay was so pleasant that is difficult to point out any weakness. But if we need to be very strict perhaps the beakfast could be improved.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you want to have a wonderfull view of the city go to the Menara tower. Better that the Petronas.

Thumbs up to the hotel staff for their friendliness. The hotel is also at a very strategic location. If you need anything, you can either go to the convenient store at the lobby or KLCC(across the road) The room was also very well equip with kitchen facilities ( bowl, utensils) and the part that amused me was the hifi and their security system. Overall I'm very happy with my stay

No major weaknesses but the area you can improve is to show manual to operate the dishwasher?

I'm very pleased with my stay in Ascott, Kuala Lumpur. The location of the hotel is very strategic and the best part is, the price wasn't too expensive. What I'm impressed most was the kitchen facilities. I've been to quite a number of service apartment but I must say Ascott by far is one of the best. The fridge was big enough and it comes with a dishwasher. This has definitely brought convenience and comfort to me during my stay. Also, thumbs up to the security system ( access card). The main entrance door will be close after 12am and only residents with access card could enter which is really good. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel

Nightlife Tip : They have very good clubs/bars nearby

Spacy rooms, perfect location, fine service and competitive price package

Could have been cleaner, some stains on the furniture

We liked the place, two bedroom appartment, double bathrooms, nice large livingroom, especially travellign with two young children (1,5 and 3 years), it helps to have room to let them play. Also having a kitchen helps, just to prepare simple lunch and not being in a restaurant again brought moments of calm into our trip. The cleaning of floors and furniture could be better though bathrooms and kitchens were spotless. The beds were comfy but a bit hard, clean and fresh.

Outstanding location but getting outdated. Guest Rating: 7.3

Location. Location. Location. Right across of KLCC Mall/Twin Towers in the heart of KL. I like the service apartment layout as you have a room, kitchenette and living area.

Its becoming a bit outdated. Stayed there 8 years ago and since then the rooms really haven't changed much. For example, old boxy tv's AND they even still had a VCR player! Breakfast is very week.

I stayed here 8 years ago and loved it. Tried it again and have to say was a bit disappointed as the rooms are practically the same as it was 8 years ago. The Sky Lounge has gorgeous views of the Twin Towers ; however, the drinks and food leave a lot to be desired. The detached restaurant in the front of the building (7ate9) is excellent. Funky and chic lounge with great music. Food is excellent.

Travel tip : Go to the Sky Lounge for Sunset to overlook KLCC and see the Towers light up the sky.

Good selection of accomodation from rooms only to suites at affordable prices. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

There is nothing overall that needs to be improved at this hotel. Any issues were resolved immediately without question.

We stayed in an appartment with a good sized Bedroom and attached Bathroom plus a good sized Family room reasonable dining area and well appointed kitchen. Everything was neat and clean and cleaned every day without problem. A small study area with reasonable internet access also made the stay more pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were chearful and curtious.

good location, spacious, down to earty 5 star quality

breakfast is a bit lousy

It's almost opposite KLCC shopping center and in walking distance to the latest 'Pavillion'shopping mall. It's very much in downtown center. There is the hottest bar/lounge downstairs, wonderful to meet up with friends.

Nightlife Tip : Don't miss the bar/restaurant downstairs. It's very popular.

The rooms were large with plenty of space which would come in handy for those traveling with families. Equipped with a kitchen, these rooms/apartments come in handy if staying more than a few days. Staff was pleasant to work with.

The air conditioning unit in the bedroom we were in was noisy so we turned it off and turned on the one in the living area to compensate. The breakfast was outside and sliced fruit, bread, pastries were uncovered thereby allowing insects easy access. It would appear that if one ate breakfast after 8:00 am, the food had not been replenished and did not appear fresh.

While I would recommend the Ascott for families with children or for people intent on staying on a weekly, monthly basis and could cook their own breakfast, I would not be inclined to stay for an overnighter as there are other hotels in the area that provide a nicer breakfast area and breakfast for those not permanent residents for the same amount of money to stay.
