Short Stay at Bolevard Kuala Lumpur Guest Rating: 3.8

Staying for a night in transit for an early flight to Chiang Mai the next day. Room check in are swift at the front counter with my booking at Agoda. Access to the mid valley shopping mall is very convenient through the lobby. The breakfast was supposed to start at 6 a.m. but due to our early flight, we were there before opening time but the restaurant staff were more than happy to let us in for the earlier breakfast and even packed some cakes and drink for us to take on the way to the airport.

Easy access to Mid Valley Mall for shopping, food and hyper market. Restaurant staff are very helpful.

Nothing undesirable was observed during my short stay here.

A Functional Hotel Guest Rating: 3.3

Internet is not free but 5 minutes away there is a Starbuck ... Staying in the hotel itself will not be a very memorable experience. It is an absolutely faceless and souless place. On the other hand it is quite fuss free and very practical if all you need is a clean bed, every major convenience nearby and no worries.

Security and location on top of a huge shopping mall.

If you bath too long the shower floor floods.

• Travel tip : The nearest car park is in Zone C, and park near the Jusco supermarket. The hotel is directly above it.

Staff are friendly and helpful although it was the Hari Raya Festival during our stay. Breakfast is so so, but shopping, foods and beverages is just withing walking distance! Some pretty good restaurant around the hotel area. Easy access to the main Federal Express Way and to other main shopping and tourist spots! Insufficient amenities in the bath though.

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago. They had just opened for business. The hotel was empty, we showed up as walk-ins, taken by a cab driver after we "escaped" a nightmerish hotel we had booked online. We were given a free update to a suite. We were speechless. Now, three years later, we found the hotel very busy but our experience was once again a very nice one. Fast check-in and check-out, quality food for the room service, spotlessly clean rooms, nice afternoon snacks and drinks and free Internet connection on the 26th floor with an amazing view. We will definitely go back.

It's not located in the downtown so I guess it's not the best for foreigner. It's best for those who wish to do shopping. Transportation is easy there with BTS and public cab is available all time.

It's attached to one of the largest shopping mall in Malaysia where you can spend whole day shopping and enjoy various delicious local/international food there.

Booked Boulevard online with Agoda - very easy and good price for major city hotel. Very much enjoyed our stay - facilities were excellent; buffet breakfast (the choices!) was a highlight; so easy to reach by public transport from LCCT or KLIA to KL Sentral then Kommuter line. View at night of KL Tower and Petronas twin towers was wonderful. Would highly recommend to others and would stay there again without doubt.

The hotel is next to the mega mall, which is the biggest in Asia. So you can directly go to the mall to enjoy shopping and eating. The room is very clean and comfortable to stay. The amenity goods are easy to use. Towel and sheets are very comfortable. I believe it is worth to stay for business and sightseeing for this reasonable price.

Creature Comforts in Kuala Lumpur Guest Rating: 3.2

The only saving grace to my time in Kuala Lumpur was the Boulevard hotel.. I found the Malaysian people rude, racist, always on the make and very aggressive.. Fortunately this all stopped when I got to the hotel door and was inside.. Fabulous facilities, good location for shopping and other sights - cheap in a cab to the Bird Park, Petronas Towers, KLCC, etc.. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool on the 9th floor, together with a Spa, a Gym and a large restaurant/bar with a pool table! The food was very good in the main and the room service was very quick. Do not be fooled by the taxi rank outside the hotel though, some drivers will NOT put the meter on, others will. Only get in cabs that will put the meter on as the others are complete rip off merchants!

Great for shopping, the mall is joined to the hotel and open late, the facilities are excellent and the staff very attentive

Several times we tried to take a taxi back to the hotel the cab firms would not take us all the way citing 'busy traffic' as the reason and would only drop us at KL Sentral station where we'd have to get the train one stop.. The air conditioning is pretty strong so you may find yourself cold!!

• Nightlife Tip : Don't go out in Kuala Lumpur without expecting to be ripped off by the taxi drivers.. Late night fares are rarely on the meter and are at least treble the metered fare.. As a woman you need to ensure that you are well covered up or you will be greeted with stares and made to feel very, very uncomfortable.
