Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Fantastic hotel, value for money
9.7
We liked everything about this hotel and will certainly book again. Clean, friendly staff, great view of Chinatown. Right in the middle of everything.
Shopping Tip:
Experience the shopping at Central Market, great eating places. Try the Indian resturant where locals go(just to the left of the entrance to Central Market)

Chinatown prices, but ultra modern inside
8.3
it seems a little sketchy on the outside--you have to duck under a bunch of food cart umbrellas to actually reach the lobby. but inside is ultra modern decor, everything looks brand new. the neighborhood is totally safe, a block away from starbucks, and the mrt station, and petaling street. they even held my luggage for an entire week at no charge.

Fantastic, truly enjoyable
Location, Amenities, Service
9.3
I really enjoyed staying at the Boutique Hotel. It was right in the centre of Chinatown where there is considerable hustle and bustle without it being too overwhelming. The room was clean and relaxing. The sightseeing was never too far away and the people were always available and willing to help. Really good stay.
Restaurant Tip:
We ate at the local food court in Chinatown and we didn't have any problems, digestively speaking. Despite its shabby exterior, I would advise eating there for price and taste. Also - they import the ice so it's pretty safe to drink the drinks, too.

Good location service was average.
In the hustle and bustle of Chinatown, Petaling Street.
6.7
Didn't like how we needed to get downstairs from the room to ask for a hairdryer or an iron and be asked to put a deposit down when its not needed.
Shopping Tip:
If you don't like the constant hassling from the store keepers, then this is not the place to be. I see mainly the Westerners getting hassled by the DVD guys, wanting to sell them new illegal DVDs and also these outdoor stores stock pretty much fake brands.

The location was great. Right in Chinatown. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice although there were very few channels on the t.v. amd there are no fridges in the room.

Fantastic location at a great price
Right in the heart of chinatown, well priced
7.7
We booked 2 nights but ended up staying 6. The family room was very well equipped with bunk beds for the kids. The room was very clean and beds were made daily and fresh towels, soap toilet rolls and complimentary water were given.Free wifi is in all rooms and is satellite TV. All in all it was a very good stay and we would definately be back again. The downside was the room had no windows so you need to set an alarm if you have to get up early but great for sleeping in.
Shopping Tip:
If buying perfume pay no more than 20rm per bottle. buy your milo ice, etc at the hawkers not at the restaurants as they are triple the price.

Budget small rooms
Location in the heart of Chinatown, affordable
6
Stayed for 1 night only. Choose this hotel because of its location and price. It was rather noisy (even through-out the night) as the room we stayed faces the restaurants and shops below. Suitable just for short stay with no frills.
Restaurant Tip:
Cross the road by the side of the hotel building and try the claypot chicken rice stall. Its a roadside stall with a few tables and chairs setup in front of a closed shop in the night. Love it personally. Besides that, enjoy bargaining for your momentos in the streets of Chinatown.

Located in the centre of Chinatown

we arrived in kuala lumpur in a monsoonal downpour which made it difficult for our taxi driver to locate this small hotel which he was not familiar with. we ended up like drowned rats in the lobby. the hotel is right in the middle of chinatown so if this is the location you are after, it is really in the centre of it all. the staff were civil but i believe were not great english speakers. the room was comfortable enough, not pristine clean but ok. a reasonable place for a budget stopover for a group of 3 or 4 wanting to share the same room.no food available at the hotel but plenty of places to eat in the street cafes outside.
