regular, definitely not boutique

when i arrived the elevetator was broken, i had a bulky suitcase, a backpack and a messenger bag and i had to climb the stinky backstairs with my luggage.
guy at the reception couldn't seem to be bothered and couldn't even give basic information.
the room was alright, although forget about spotless bedding and towels. i asked my towels to be changed has they had grey and brown spots all over...well,the new ones weren't that different either, i guess they haven't discovered the use of bleach yet!
the use a strange deodorant spray for the room that really made me sick...very strong. i think they believe it gives a sense of cleanliness...it just gave nausea to me!
the location was great, if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of chinatown, but be prepared to stand the noise (it is not a problem for me, but for some ppl might)
the walls between the rooms are also super thin, so be prepared as well.
all in all, it was decent accommodation for what i paid for, but it is definitely not the idea i have of a boutique hotel

very good location. the hotel is direct in mid of china town. Hundred shops and food stalls are direct in front of the hotel. Though is quiete in the room. Puduraya Bus Station is in walk distance.

We stayed at the family room which can accomodate 3 persons. Considering the price we paid, there is really nothing much to complain. But there was a blackout on the last night at about 12 midnight which lasted for about 20 minutes and because there is no telephone in the room, i got to walk down to the reception to check using my maglight.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Bring a handheld torch in case it blackout again. Remember to get the aircon remote from reception when check in.

Affortable boutique hotel

I have stayed in this hotel more then 3 times. It is by far the most comforatble and well disigned hotel for its price. Totally convinient as it is located with the street market of Chinatown, with street food and shopping just infront of the hotel's doorsteps! The room is modern in design and without frill. Good shower but there no mini-bar in the room hence you should have to get your cold drink from the 7-eleven next door. The only thing that surprises me is there is no telephone in the room. Inorder to call for service you will have to go down to the reception area on ground level, and if you have a vistor the recpetionsit will need to bring him to your room. I find this very inconvinient. Also, there is not way that the hotel can service you with morning call, so you have to bring along your own alarm clock if you are a deep sleeper. I have repeatedly told the chinese boss serveral time sabout installing a phone in their rooms or at least install an intercom system - but no action taken. Overall is a comfortable hotel with comfortable bed and very clean facilities.

Location in Chinatown and rooms very comfortable and plenty of light in the room!.

We loved our stay in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur and would certainly stay there again.
Everything is right outside the hotel and yete although we were on the 2nd floor the noise wasn't a problem for us.
Plenty of light in the room and lovely modern bathroom.
Great value for money.

Our lst stay at China Town Boutique Hotel was during May 2010, we came back again on August 2010. We like the morning local
breakfast and the night life around the area. With walking distance to the Pasar Seni Station and bus hub.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just take the U88 bus ride to I-Utama, Ikea from Pasar Seni Station and 1 stop to KL Sentral by Rapid train.
