Clean and spacious rooms at an affordable price

The Cititel Mid Valley Hotel was a super convenient place to stay when you want to spend the whole day at the mall. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast buffet has a wide spread of local and international food but the local food was much much better, with Nasi Lemak (chilli was great), porridge, and noodles (cook yourself). A definite place to go for and affordable place to stay for shopping at Mid Valley.
Shopping Tip:
Must go and try the "Yong Tau Fu" at the basement of Mid Valley Mall. Really good!

Stayed 2 nights last month while on a business trip. Choose it because of the location which is in the middle of KL.
Very helpful & friendly staff.
Located with a shopping mall and walking distance to the rail line. Will stay there again next time.

As mentioned in the previous review, the other problem I encountered was with the room key. I had two separate bookings with the Hotel but under the same name. I had already highlighted this to the staff at check-in. However, on the second day during my stay, I came back from shopping and could not enter my room. I had spoken to the Duty Manager about it and all they could do was apologise and update my room key. I personally feel that this hotel is not very efficient in terms of their customer service. I had never encountered such a bad service or bad experience before.
And again, I will never ever come back to Cititel.

location is good for shopping. free wifi is strong but only available for one device. it needs upgrades its security (as dont need key card to access hotel lift).

Been stay in this hotel for many times. The room is small but the location is great.
For the latest stay, I found the cleanliness need to improve . I was check in late and
Wanted to get in room dining however I saw the menu is very dirty which
can see the tomato sauce on it and the whole dining menu is very oily until
I lost my appetite.
Overall the hotel is good in service and fast check in and check out.

I had a very bad experience staying here for the first time. Staff at check-in was friendly but they did a very big mistake. I walked into my room and found a man sleeping inside! This is obviously a very big safety and security issue when it comes to any hotel. This kind of mistake should never happen! Fair enough, they decided to upgrade my superior room to a deluxe room. However, I had problems opening my new deluxe room and the porter who had given me my new keys did not take any initiative to help push my suitcases. I encountered several other problems with this hotel and I would not recommend this hotel to anybody else. Yes, it is cheap and location is good. However, if you could afford a better hotel elsewhere, do it because I will not come back to this hotel ever again.
