excellent location

everything needs to be renovated, poor condition of sanitary equipment (no hot water on water sink)

The location is excellent, with plenty of restaurants, shops and mall around the corner. But it is not a place to spend too much time. Nova needs to be renovated. Carpet on the floor in corridors and room not clean. There is no hot water on sink in bathroom (but there is hot water in the shower).

reasonably priced and best location for those who like street shopping. Friendly and helpful staff

blocked by the street stalls. Hard to find the hotel

The hotel is strategically located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Convenient for tourists who like to see the city centre on foot, particularly shopping at the street stalls selling a large array of goods ranging from garment to other household utensils. The hotel room is reasonably clean and value for money. However, the environment surrounding the hotel is rather unsuitable for those who wish to enjoy the tranquility and serenity of the place they stay.

Shopping Tip : good place to shop for household items, garment, shoes and food

Overall good hotel, posh look, big room and clean. Nice lobby and good restaurant. Good staff. Affordable price. Mono rail station close by.

difficult to reach, has to take taxi most of the time or has to walk a little to board bus.

Hotel City villa is nice hotel in chow kit, KL. The room was posh looking, big, clean and beautiful. The rent is quite affordable and the room is worth the money. Though you can reach there by bus, it will be better to go in taxi as locating it is little difficult after getting down at chow kit. Booking was easy and there were hassles. The checking time is 2 pm and chech out time 12pm. Just in fron of there are hawkers on the roadside selling ladies bags and similar item. It is quite cheap and looks ok. I have bought a few items, hope it lasts.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can get bus to KLCC(petronas twin tower) from the nearest bus stop and the charge is only on 1 rinkitt. taxi would cost 10

Near to Train Station

Taxi couldn't find the location; address is too remote.

The hotel is in fair condition. It was pretty roomy, and the view is good. Location is not far from Chow Kit Station, but the address is almost too remote and unfamiliar to any taxi drivers! (Mine drove for almost 30 mins before being able to locate the hotel).

Its Location and Linkage to Mono-Rail

Rooms are small.

This hotel is situated in a good location particularly for the tourist who wants a standard living condition withing a minimum cost. Though the air conditioning is not so good but still it was not problematic for me and my family. Moreover it gives a very beautiful view of Twin Towers specially from our room (1316). This location offers tourist easy access to all sort of food specially indian and Bangladeshi type food which was very essential for my wife and kid. I can say that I am happy with my hotel booking in City Villa Hotel.

Hotel Feature Tip : This Hotel is economical with good communication network.

fast room service

unattractive view, noise from next room can be heard, inefficient housekeeping

the room was quite big but the tv is small. i can hear people screamed from next room and i also can hear people walking along the corridor. it was really interrupted me. i also quite worried to buy things outside the hotel because too many people there and most of them are not malaysian. i really satisfied with their room service because they served the food faster than my expected time. but overall i was quite satisfied with this stay because i realized that i paid lower rates for lower expectation.

Nightlife Tip : so many small stalls selling variety of products

price, location.

room is old.

We spent two nights here. The location is ok, as the sky stain station Chow Kit is just 2~3mins walking. The decoration is too old, and the air conditioner could not controlled by the customer, so you can not adjust the room temperature. And the North side rooms could have the view of KLCC, the twin tower.

There is nothing good about this hotel.

This hotel has a 3 star rating, but it deserves a 1 star if even that! It is located in a bad neighborhood. The rooms, and particularly the bathrooms are dirty and full of mold and mildew. The guests are extremely loud, and the staff is a bit surly.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. The rooms are dirty, the bathrooms are deplorable--full of mildew and mold. I have traveled all over the world, and this is by far the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The other guests were loud, and the staff was rather surly. We tried to place a local call [to make reservations at another hotel] but we were informed that unless we paid the money, we could not even make one call. We ended up borrowing another hotel guests cell phone. Also the neighborhood is really unpleasant with the apartment building that faces City Villa Hotel being a bit of a slum tenant.

Hotel is good but the surrounding is a bit nasty Guest Rating: 7.3

Lots of rooms, toilet are big, beds are big... and can have a direct view toward the Twin tower. Sky train is just around the conner. Staff is nice.

Location is in a not-very-clean area. But quite close to Petronas twin tower. Hotel looks old and dark.

You are not going to be in the hotel all day, so not a big deal but should be a bit careful. I arrived at midnight and found that the area is dark and nasty...

Hotel Feature Tip : Request for a room with Petronas tower view. get the highest floor posible and you can have a clear view of the whole city as well as the Genting highland also.

Close to monorail

Bad rooms, poor bathroom

On arrival we got a room in which half of the furniture was already broken. The next room we got was already inhabited by a nest of flying insects, so we asked for another room. But still no luck here, because the toilet was leaking. The conditions in this hotel were very poor and did not give us the feeling that it was worth the money paid for the room.

it's basically clean, accesible to the bus stops and monorail station, accomodating hotel staff

i think, i can't remember any except for 1 male waiter who served me a fried egg and billed me 9 MYR.

My stay with my wife at City Villa Hotel is in general satisfying. It is accesible to the highway and near the Chowkit railway station. The Hotel is basically clean and tidy and the hotel staff were accomodating and can speak and understand english well.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you're in group, you can take or contract a van for a comfortable tour around the city, use you're haggling skill.
