Good setup but not much activity
The surrounding was pleasant although you get bored fast

The staff were not very efficient. Probably because its peak season. Rooms are quite worn out but reasonably clean. Amenities are lacking. Generally ok but worn out

The interior design is beautiful

The hotel room is what i dream of except i wish if they can attend of sending the iron board to the room. The door cant be locked from inside and its show the poor maintenance of the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you plan for japanese garden visit, dont stay during public holiday. The hotel is also suitable for relaxing since the viewis marvelous.

Lovely place but bad service
The great architecture and nice weather
7
It was a long steep and curvy road to go up all the way from KL Berjaya Times Square (KL) to Colmar Tropicale. A transport available on certain timings from KL(1pm,3pm,5pm). Once you miss the time, the only way is to take a cab which will cost between RM$150-RM$200, depends on the driver. The hotel architecture was great with the nice cooling weather. The reception staff were friendly and easily approcable. The foods are very expensive as it is a tourist attraction place. However, the staff at the so called "provision shop", were very unfriendly and rude. My sister went buy a lighter, but she couldn't find it in the shop and so she asked the lady staff where's the lighter. To her surprise, the lady staff does not know what a lighter is even after my sister explained and showed hand movements. The lady staff kept saying 'tak ada' which means 'don't have'. When my sister finally saw the lighter, she showed it to the staff. While waiting to get her money change, she heard another customer asking the lady staff if they have the 'fever pad' for babies. The lady staff again kept saying 'don't have' when the 'fever pad' is clearly displayed on the shelve just behind her. Then my sister told the staff "If you don't know anything, don't work here". The lady staff then just throw the money change back to my sister. Thats the only unpleasant incident happened to my family. overall we are just satisfied with staying in the hotel relaxing with nice view from our room window.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just a simple attraction to the animal park where you run after a rabbit to carry it in your arms, with the bowling alley not really well-maintained but they have friendly staff. And the Japanese tea house is not advisable for those old folks because they have to climb up the stairs and steep slopes to get up to the japanese tea house which doesn't have anything much to see or do. you just can rent a kimono costume and where it to take pictures in the "japanes-like" environment.

Good service hotel.
Efficient and helpful staffs.
8.3
the room was spacious and very nicely decorated. it was clean and tidy. our stay there was very fun and entertaining. very good place for stress release. the only drawback is there's no cheap food stall or restaurant. you may need to bring a lot of cash as the food there damn expensive. the rest all awesome.

Just okay!
Amenities village around the hotel
6.7
room size is just nice, or should i mention it kinda small. its an old style room with an old tv. the bathroom is large. i wish half of the bathroom section will go the room section to make the room bigger. its like 1/3 of the room is occupy by bathroom. the shower is also great.
having a lower floor is disadvantages since hoping to face the village. all i could see is a jungle outside.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Visit Japanese Village before go to the hotel, an unfortunately nothing worth seeing there. Its only make me tired walking around the so called Japanese Village.
