Location and price

Staff Coordination, needs facilities upgrade

Coronade Hotel best feature is its location it is a stone throw away from Lot 10, BB Plaza and Seng Wei Plaza. It's a good walking distance to Time Plaza and Malaysia's latest mall: Pavilion which is right infront of Star Gallery. The hotel is a little out dated and the room would need a little renovation but it is properly maintained. I mentioned staff coordination as one of its weakness as we had to advise housekeeping that we notified the front office of our late check out arrangement. Also when we added breakfast to our booking they said they'll take care of it and send it to our room but breakfast came and we had to go to the front office to follow it up and judging from their body language they forgot it. they made us wait only to advise us that we can just go have breakfast and just sign the bill. But otherwise the hotel's service was good.

The best thing about Coronade Hotel is its great location. Just minutes away from the Bukit Bintang buzz. Also, the refurbished bedrooms are pleasant and spacious.

There were scuff marks on my new sheets on the day I checked in. Although the room was nicely refurbished, the bathroom was still drab and poorly lit. The staff at front desk were at times distracted; a little difficult to get attention... even at non peak times.

I have stayed at Coronade before. But the old Coronade was poorly lit and drab. The hotel rooms have had a touch of refurbishment. The new rooms are bright, cheery and spacious (for the price). Liked the colour schemes and the comfortable lighting. Some of the furniture was still a bit old though - for example, my fridge cupboard could not close properly and the fridge was too old, so that it was barely cold. The bathroom was somewhat drab and not refurbished. However, this hotel, being one of the older ones, boasts nice spacious areas - unlike the new ones that are compact to the point of being cramped. The best part of Coronade is the proximity to both luxury (Pavilion, Starhill) and cheap (Sungei Wang) shopping. Also the hotel is just a stone's throw away from great food at Jalan Alor. Best part is that there is a monorail line just 2 minutes away from the hotel door. This hotel is truly the best in terms of convenience!

Shopping Tip : There is a range of shopping for every budget. For cheap shopping, just walk across the road to Sungei Wang Plaza. All kinds of bargains for the browser and shopper. Lot 10 next door is good for mid-priced shopping. For the more exclusive stuff... head over to the Pavilion or Starhill on Bukit Bintang itself. I actually managed to walk to KLCC from the hotel. But it took me about 25 minutes to find my way there.

Good location to access to major shopping centers and local food place like Jalan Alor

Room is not so clean as we found cockroches around. Need to replace old towels which are quite black. In door swimming pool is too cold although the weather outside is hot. Suggest to warm the water as I didn't see many people utilize the pools during my stay.

I like this hotel because it is close to major shopping centers and within walking distance. Lot 10, Sungai Wang, Pavillion and Berjaya Times square which are near. We love to go Jalan Alor for our meals which is about 10 minutes walk away. Very good location.

Restaurant Tip : Try Madam Kwan's restaurant where they serve good Ipon Hor Fun and Nasi Lemak
