Wise choice, excellent view and memorable stay
location and breathtaking view of petronas and the hotel swimming pool from room balcony
8.3
i think it is one of the most ideal place to stay in (especially if you are going international for the first time and on your own).. due to its location, proximity to twin towers, klcc suria mall, klcc lrt, and the main road. one does not feel isolated and the vibrancy of the hotel gives one a secure feeling. the room which we got - had swimming pool view as well as direct view of petronas tower which looked outstanding at night with all lights flashing at the 2 beauties. also, as it is on a main road, it is very easy to get access to public transports like buses, cabs, etc. the hotel also offers free transfers to selected locations (to know more - contact the concierge desk. the only drawback was getting vegetarian food nearby)

money worth Hotel. The location is just right at the centre of Kuala LUmpur. It is accesible by different type of traffic, car taxi and near to LRT station. almost all the major bank are within the walikng distance. There are number of the ambassy is within the walking distance. the most intersting is the Twin Tower, one of the higher building in the world is just opposite.

The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Petronas towers and very close to any of the spots of the city.
When I arrived the personnel at the front desk was a bit cold as I arrived at 7 am and check in time is at 3 pm. The lady was nice and gave me a room as she saw Im from Mexico and had a long trip (good gesture).

Great location for business.

Staff very helpful when assistance is required. The property, in general,is well maintained and clean. For business travelers, the Corus is located in the heart of KL's business district.

i stayed in Corus hotel for 3 nights with my team. it is very closed to KLCC. The connection to the sightseeing places is very good. The transportation to LCCT is perfect.
Don't forget to go to Central market and China town.

A smile would have been nice
4.3
The nice thing that the hotel did was send me a card for my birthday signed by various hotel employees and a fruit plate.
And now on to the room:
The room felt dirty and you could tell it was really old. You could see that they made efforts into updating the room, like adding a flatscreen tv, but maybe they should have also thought about maybe reupholstering their worn chairs (which looked really gross), repainting a wall with different colored paint on it, updating bent light fixtures, or replacing their ancient hair dryer (that didn't even work).
Housekeeping might also check a room for old cup stains on the window ledge where previous guests put down their coffee cup.
But what was most disappointing was the staff--not the most welcoming crew. There were very few smiles offered, especially from the front desk. Only our housekeeper, who was an older lady made us feel welcome. We could see older guests struggling with their luggage and hotel staff on the floor not particularly doing anything.
Travel tip:
If you are coming from Singapore and using the Aeroline bus, it would be convenient to stay at the Corus. Honestly though there are newer hotels within walking distance.

OK, staff not so efficient and they have bed bugs
5
I had bed bugs the very first night, they said they would send someone up (this was at 04:00), 20 minutes later still waiting and I wasn't going to stay in the same room so took my stuff downstairs (with one of the bugs I found) and asked for another room. Which they gave me and was fine. Though every time I had a question for the front desk they were desinterested and on more than one occasion gave me wrong information. Also the spa doesn't do the specials they show unless they feel like it, but the treatments are good.
It's been a week and I'm still waiting for the hotel, which they said they would after checking into the matter, (and agoda) to come back to me on refunding the "bed bug" night...
Shopping Tip:
The mall by the towers has everything don't let the hotel make you think you need to go down to the other areas if you are only looking for one or two items....
