Swanky hotel with good location

Requested for early check in at about 11 in the morning but they only have 2 single bedrooms available instead of a King Sized bed at that point of time. Informed by one of the Reception staffs to come back at 1 pm. Registration process was quick and efficient. Left our bags with the friendly Concierge and proceeded to walk around Bukit Bintang.
Berjaya Times Square was a 7 minutes walk from the Furama which was pretty nearby. Other places like the Bukit Bintang Plaza were all within walking distance but that is about 15 to 20 minutes walk which was not too bad.
Came back by 1 pm to collect our keys and we got a pleasant surprise from one of the female Receptionist that we were upgraded to the Suite room which was wonderful. Probably they were full on the Deluxe category.
Room was very spacious and modern looking. More for business travelers I suppose. Separate bedroom and living room. We were extremely happy with the room but it would be better if there was a bathtub in their bathroom. Overall, we would definitely come back to stay with the Furama, not only because of the lovely room but the staffs were all warm and friendly especially the Concierge Team.

Room tired and in need of maintenance particularly the bathroom.
Staff in nearly deserted restaurant during the one dinner we had there provided disappointing service.
Restaurant Tip:
Avoid the hotel restaurant for dinner. Breakfast OK.

good sized rooms& good view of twin towers.air condition works well-very important for hot & humid weather.hotel staff helpful to provide service for different items when requested. only complaint sink in bathroom-inside rim not clean -black & mouldy.house-keeping did not do good job of cleaning.therefore despite all the pluses may hesitate to book at this hotel again.
Travel tip:
make use of free shuttle service.get free map from concierge.

Nice Hotel but shocking customer care

Stayed here for 2 nights and booked 2 rooms. Reception staff lied and stated they had upgraded us but other staff confirmed that this was not the case. I don't expect an upgrade for nothing but dont just lie to make me feel ive got a result. Enquired about paying for an upgrade for the second night for my brothers birthday and was quoted a reasonable price of 100 Ringitt per room. Returned 20 minutes later to confirm the upgrade, only to be told that the upgrade price was now double at 200 MR and that the member of staff had quoted the wrong price. I checked their copy of the price list and no upgrade cost 200 MR. Despite me pointing this out the receptionist was very rude and stated that this was now their price.
Shower in my room was mouldy and room furniture tatty.
Pool area is very nice and their food is very reasonable although there is no menu in the room and you have to sit through ages of pages of info on the TV to get to the screen with the menu.
All in all reasonable value for KL city centre just let down totally by staff lying for no reason.

I stayed at furama hotel for 3nights. The room is very big and the interior looks very nice. The hotel is very clean. But environment around the hotel is very dirty. If you want to take monorail, you need walk around berjaya times square or walk through very dirty and smelly passage.. Also in front of the hotel, there is a repairment, which is making the environment more dirty..

The location of the hotel is very accessible. it is mainly a tourist hotel and thus, for local like us, there is no problem with the parking.
Rooms are ok, and I think the breakfast is great, especially the croissant...
Shopping Tip:
5 minutes walking you will reach a lot of shopping centre in the famous Bukit Bintang...
