We liked the hotel staff, the location, the room, the monorail was 1 city block from the hotel, the breakfast was good & the price of the room was very fair.
My only disappointment was our room did not have cable TV.
Overall we were very happy we stayed 4 days & 3 nights. We would definitely stay there again. The location was outstanding because the hotel was centered between the Petronas Twin Towers and Chinatown. The rail system was outstanding you could get around very quickly & easily. I will also use agoda in the future when I travel. It was a very pleasant experiance. I would recommend this hotel & agoda to my friends & family & anyone else that is going to Kuala Lumpur. Thank you very much.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There were restaurants, nightclubs, sightseeing & shopping malls all within in a very close proximity to the hotel going either on foot or using the rail system.

walking distance to monorail
old and needs renovating
a bit dirty
a bit out of the way
I found the Grand Continental a bit disappointing as the room were nothing like the internet picturs. The room was a bit old and shabby and did not have a great view. The hotel itself is a fair way away from the central district and there was not too much around the hotel of interest. The pool boy had no towels to offer on 2 out of the three days I stayed here. Iwould not stay at this hotel again.

Quiet location, no traffic noise
old rooms are dated. Comfortable but not current in design or in bathroom fittings
The hotel is well located near Skytrain and just a few stops from Bintang Walk, but not in the centre of anything. Although the price is reasonable, the furnsihings and bathrooms are dated, and there are certainly better options available closer to the restaurant and shopping areas. Predominantly local clientelle. Not a bad hotel, but not great.

An old hotel, room interior is really old, bathroom door chipped off, corrosion sign, bed sunken in. breakfast is monotonous, carparking is dark and has urine smell. On positive side, the driving direction to this hotel is quite easy as it is traffic jam free, the monorail is 5 minutes distance away, but 5 minutes of hot scorching sun. The reception counter is poorly manned, with only one staff for check in, another sobbish manager who dont serve customer. But when you talk nicely to them, you might get an upgrade of room.

Location is good to walk around the town.
Customer service is bad, rooms are smelly
Customer service is bad, rooms are smelly, despite their front desk claims on hotel being non-smoking zone, you can find ash trays and lights in every room, breakfast is awful (limited choices between bad and worst food).

Excellent locations with easy access to most of the main attractions. No problem in getting food as there are many local food court nearby the hotels. Hotel a bit 'old' but still appealing.
Hotel receptions need to put more effort to service quests. A little more 'smile' is much appreciated. The swimming pools closing hour need to be extended to 9pm as quest may need to relax a little bit more by the pool. Direction to hotel is missing so need to have more signboard for better directions.
Overall I enjoy my stay but things can be better if the staff are more friendly and give suggestions for quest to have an exciting holiday.
With upgrading work is in progress, I am looking forward to stay again in this hotel.Pobably a LCD tv in the hotel room will be a good move.
Nightlife Tip : Pasar malam is just opposite the hotel. It started from 7pm to 10 pm daily. less than 5 mins walk to Lor hj Taib.

Very near the red light district and you have to pay for the broadband use, which is expensive.
I have stayed here twice and found it a reasonable choice. The rooms are a fair size and the beds are comfortable. I was surprised that all the sockets were the British standard square pin. There are good vies from the windows too. The breakfast is included and offers a good choice to suite most tastes. Also if you are eating in during the days, the choice is well priced.
Travel tip : Great views at night of the "Twin Towers" and the communication towers.

best view from the room to see both Menara & Twin Towers.
Renovation & new furniture needed to suit the contempory lifestyle.
A great place to stay where you can sleep with the curtain wide open to view the life & landmarks in Kuala Lumpur. Mins away from the entertainment world with easy accessiblity, example monorails & commuters. Pleasant & friendly service to make your day wonderful.
Restaurant Tip : Various places nearby where you can find food when you are hungry after midnight.

The hotel looks nice from the lobby but the condition of the room was bad. Some things are not in working order. And as for the location, not the best one. But the good thing is that, the price is cheap, and it comes with breakfast.

Pricing and the location are acceptable. Its value for money place to stay.Rooms were generally clean.
They need to improve human resources and mannerism.
The hotel is located about 7 minuits away from MRT station Sultan Ismail. Room was ok. But thats all they have.Ckeck in by glass eyed personnel took 10 minuites. The breakfast needs improvement. There was no bottle opener and I was asked to come down to the cafe with the beer bottle and open it there by muself. What an embarassment! Swimming pool attendant insisted i must be out of the pool area(not pool) by 6.55 PM so that he could quit.
Travel tip : Never take a taxi in front of the hotel. Walk 20 meters to the left.

(1)
Rooms on 20th Floor and upwards seems to be good/excellant (value for money).
(2)
Rooms below 20th Floor maybe "not' so good.
That my feeling (I stayed one night in 19th Floor which was not upto the mark expected).
(3)
Marble Coffe Shop excelleant service, staff very friendly, food very good.
(1)
Aircon seems to be very weak in many rooms.
SPECIAL NOTE:
(2)
Rooms furniture needs to be given face lift.
Bed OK.
(3)Hardly any Pub or Bar facilities seen or mentioned in the Lobby.
If the Management takes the notes on Pros & Cons and make necessary ambience, the GCKL is
and ecellant palce to stay. The Front Office staff needs a bit 5-star attitude.

The pool
Location to trains
View of Towers
Breakfast
We really liked this hotel. It's showing its age and could use some new sheets. The ones we had have old stains in them, but were cleanly washed - smelled fresh.
The swimming pool is the big plus for us, it was the main reason we came here. It a nice size and clean area on the 11'th floor I think.
It also has a sauna, but we didn't use it as it has wierd opening times (early morning-closed all day-open at might).
The hotel is nicely located to one of the train stations (one block over and one block up) and we used it the two days we were in KL. You take it to one of the stations and switch to another train and you can go straight to the Petronas Towers.
The train also goes to KL Sentral which is were we took the 9ringit bus from the Air Asia terminal. Makes it easy to get to-and-from the airport.
If you don't care about the pool, you might be better off going to the air-asia owned hotel just around the corner. (Tune hotel)
Oh ya, the view of the Towers is unbelievable! Our room faced them. At night it was nice to stare out the window.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking distance to the train station

Even though this is a 3 star hotel, the customer service is commendable. they allowed us to check in and out early and also provide tips on where to go. the breakfast is also a spread considering the amount that we paid for. the room is also with a view with the wonderful twin tower just facing your window. it looks really beautiful at nite. Very romantic!
Hotel Feature Tip : For for a swim at nite - its at the 11th level. Very romantic with the twin tower view behind you.
