It is on bukit bintang's shopping street since it is located on bukit bintang street. And it is closed to the monorel station. Beside that, the price is reasonable among the best hotel in the bukit bintang's area.
Shopping Tip:
If you like shopping, this hotel is very convinience.

Great location
comfortable room, good amenities
7.7
The hotel is at good location and one finds easy access to shopping mall and good restaurants.
Shopping Tip:
Pavilion Shopping Mall is just next to the hotel. It is convenient for hotel guests who wish to shop for quality goods. Sungai Wang Plaza are also nearby to offer cheaper goods. Lot 10 and Farenheit shopping mall are opposite the hotel to offer next alternative for shopping.
One can find good restaurants within walking distance.

poor reception service.arrived hotel at 1.30pm but not given room key until 3.30pm - a 2hr wait.
local phone call(03 to 03 call) was billed as standard call(std) with exorbitant charges.
bed too soft. limited channels on tv.
overall comment,do not live up to its 5 star rating.

Central location and good service
Great location and friendly staff.

Great location as hotel is situated right in the heart of Bukit Bintang shopping belt. The Pavilion shopping mall is just beside the hotel. Good service with friendly staff and the breakfast spread is wonderful. We had a decent deluxe size room which can accommodate a family of 3. Would definitely stay in this hotel again in my next visit to KL.
Shopping Tip:
Visit the Pavilion shopping mall which is right next to the hotel.

Upmarket (though ageing) City Centre Hotel!
spacious room, nice bathroom, friendly staff
7.7
The GM is one of KL's leading hotels, no questions about it, however it is quite old and in ways, shows its age compared to the myriad other top-flight hotels in the city.
The facilities are spot-on and as you'd expect and it has one up on its competitors with its location, which simply can't be beaten. Likewise, porter and hotel staff were for the most part, very courteous and friendly.
The room was spacious enough, with a great bathroom featuring shower and bath seperately. One complaint would be that the thermostat/AC in the room seems to lower itself down during the night leading to a couple of uncomfortable mid-sleep wakings to turn it up.
Bearing in mind that it's a serious hotel that costs a serious amount and must surely attract a large number of business travellers, it was disappointing to note the high expense (RM50/day) of the in-room WiFi - although you can use this downstairs for free. Still, other hotels in KL of a lesser grade provide this free and this felt like deliberate price gouging.
Hotel Feature Tip:
As above, in-room WiFi is a King's Ransom that insults its high-paying guests (by KL standards) - use the WiFi downstairs near the lobby, which is free.
