Reception staff needs training
Checked into hotel on 16 June. The staff at the door were alert n greeted us upon arrival. So happy to be back to this hotel. However, when we proceeded to the reception to check in, throughout the whole process, the staff never bothered to greet or even look up at me. He very clinically and efficiently processed my check in, passed me my key cards and that was it. I figured he must have had a long day. Oh well.... Upon check out on 18 June, I encountered the same cold service. The staff never bothered to look up or even acknowledge that I was sitting in front of him. Ignoring me was bad enough but then upon clearing my check out, when I asked about the credit card slip that the hotel charged on hold, he never even bothered to say anything, took the slip and tore it and went on doing his own thing. No explanation. No smile. Nothing!!! That really left a bad taste in my mouth and spoilt my overall pleasant stay. I really suggest the management start training the reception staff on some common courtesy and teach them basic manners or ask them to learn from the doormen. They were very cheery and never failed to greet guests coming in and going out of the hotel. Pity! Front line staff of a 5 star hotel.
