Good Location, Nice Fitness Centre, Good Breakfast

Very Small Pool, Needs Refurbishment, No lift from the parking lot

Stay in Hotel Equitorial in KL is strictly OK affair. It is advertised as a five star but it does not qualify to be so. The best it can be rated should be 3 or max 4 stars. Hotel has a very good fitness centre and Spa. Rooms are very small. Staff is hospitable. Hotel needs refurbishment. Buffet breakfast is very good with lot of varieties on offer. Hotel is not exciting enough to warrant a second visit. But never the less it is quite cheap compared to the other properties in the area and more or less justifies the amount spent. Unexciting

Nightlife Tip : A late night stroll on the Bintang walk can be quite refreshing.

Great location, clean, friendly, near monorail and shopping.

None

We stayed one night from returning from Hanoi. This hotel was great and we ended up with the honey moon suite as there were roses in the bath on arrival. Very relaxing stay.

Shopping Tip : Catch the monorail to the best shopping, Sungai Wang Plaza.

hotel close to shops and transport, Staff friendly and helpful; The buffet breakfast was great, and the club room was a good place to go and have a quiet cuppa.

Booking in took a while. even though we had pre booked and payed in advanced.

The Hotel Equatorial in KL is good value for money, I would stay there when in Kl again.

Great location and good service.

Rooms and bathroom for the superior room was very tired and needs a refurb.

Stayed 2 nights here whilst enjoyed the sights and shopping of KL. Good value hotel and the food in the Chalet Restaurant was superb! Room felt tired and run down. Service from reception and front of house was excellent.

Shopping Tip : Take a taxi to China Town, its a bit far to walk and the roads are confusing

Clean, tidy, well maintained, comfortable rooms, within walking distance of convention centre

Messages submitted to front desk for attention of colleagues in other room were delivered too late

Although this is an old Hotel it was like walking into a new one and the rooms also reflected modern comfort and amenities. The lobby staff were courtious and eager to help although the insisdence of a message being delivered late mared the staff performance rating down

Located in the most convenient area and one of the cosiest hotels!

No weakneses to talk about!

One of the most cosiest hotels i have stayed in - located in a very convenient area - just 2 minutes to the Monorail station which will take you to all the main shopping malls or the main hotels - many eating places and pubs around the corner - just 5 minutes walk to the Twin Towers where you find one of the best malls in KL. I had a very pleasant stay and will definetely stay at the Equatorial hotel if i visit KL again!

situated in the centre very near Petronas

little dated

After checking in we had a very pleasant surprise. we were upgraded to the presidential suite which happens to be the best room. Very spacious, separate living room with large lcd, bedroom also had a large lcd, bathroom had shower and bathtub. Overall excellent service, plenty choice at the breakfast buffet and all very willing to help. Good value for money.

Good housekeeping service. Fresh flowers. Pool very clean with comfortable lounge chairs and good poolside ambiance. Good gym equiptment and steamroom. Perfect location for exploring KL.

Regular use of bleach on bathtub surround would control mold growth. Internet is available but you have to pay for it by the hour or by the day.

We stayed at the Equitorial Hotel for over 4 weeks. The staff was very attentive without making us feel "watched". It's a very popular upscale wedding, conference, and group gathering destination. It's located within walking distance of the LRT, the Pavillion Shopping Center, and the Golden Triangle Area. We would definitely stay there again.

Restaurant Tip : Don't miss the several hawker stalls within walking distance of this hotel that have great Indian, Chinese, Thai, and Malay cuisine.

Already reviewed But Excellent hotel

Maybe carpets a "little Tired" but great hotel. The business centre should be open longer but the staff did open it for us.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is in great location for both shopping & siteseeing Good resturants within the hotel and plenty around. The rooms have all you would require including tea making facilities and hairdryer , beds could be upgraded to king size when refurbishment takes place but presently comfortable especially the pillows We will certainly return

Shopping Tip : Waling to the 2 shopping malls very easy

Management was quite active in recovering an otherwise awful experience at the hotel.

* unfriendly checkin staff * aweful pillows

* I had an incident where a hotel staff came into my room in the middle of the night when I was sleeping. It was a very upsetting but the management took steps to conduct an investigation. * Check-in reception was unfriendly. I requested for a late check-out, the reply I received was a cold "No, we are full." * Pillows were aweful. Lumpy sponge pillows. It way below a 5-star hotel.

The location is excellent for shopping and siteseeing as well as close to good restaurants and bars. The hotel food was of very high quality and wide selection. Staff were very helpful and the attention given was very friendly and personal.

They should not close the business centre over lunch time or at weekends although they opened it for us specially.

Although positioned at a busy intersection and on the monorail route the noise was virtually non existant. A very helpful and friendly staff gave it a very personal feel and made our stay even more enjoyable. The food in all 5 resturants was of high quality the bakery products especially.A small but pleasant swimming pool where you can just see part of the twin towers, however by just turning around you see them reflected in the building on the other side of the road, this is especially beautiful at night viewed from the front facing rooms. We would certainly use this hotel again

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : All the main malls Petronis Towers etc max 10mins walking distance

hotel staff were friendly and knowledgeable, location was close to vibrant city centre, 5 min walk to Raja Chulan Monorail station, 6 restaurants within the hotel + a few more next door.

room was average size (reasonable room price), shower spouts are not strong enough, bathroom tubs are not state of the art. Internet in rooms isn't free of charge.

Overall a decent hotel in good locaton. It is situated nearby Raja Chulan monorail station. it is about a 10 to 15 min walk to the Petronas towers. The rooms are average size, nothing spectacular but also capped at reasonable price.

Very close to the Petronas Towers and to the Monorail. Nice breakfast.

We booked a taxi to the Airport for 90 RM- on the way there the driver informed us that he would want 100 RM because he came with the bigger car... It would be good if the hotel would choose more reliable taxi drivers... AC a bit loud.

Staff was very frendly at check- in, our room was situated to the back of the building and therefor very quiet. We could almost see the Petronas Towers (just some other skyscrapers blocking the view). There were free- maps at the lobby and the staff was very helpful. The Monorail is very cheap- you should give it a try- much cheaper then taking a taxi and you do not have to bargain or insist on putting on the taxameter before you can finlly go... The KL Tower costs 37RM- it is not worth the money- better get the free tickets to the Petronas Towers!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Try to get the free tickets at Petronas Towers to the Skybridge.

good location and friendly stuff. 2 minute walk to the left of the hotel is the mono rail station which will take you all over KL.

The chef that prepare my both my congee and wonton soup should consider tasting it before serving as it is extremely salty...to the point that it is not eatable. the hotel should also consider offering free wifi or broadband service

i stay here for a couple of night. the hotel ambience ,friendly stuff and location was ideal for all traveller. other than the overly salty chicken congee and wonton soup, i say the food and service in the hotel restaurant was pretty good. i would stay here again if this hotel offer either free broadband connection or at least offer one at reasonable rate.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : mono rail are within 2 minute walk from hotel which will bring you close to most must see location
