Great start now in desperate need of maintenance
4
I chose this stay because my last stay with them 3 or 4 years ago was great. Its location is very central (walking distance to KLCC) and the rooms were stylishly done up; I loved the overall intimate spa concept in the rooms.
However, with this stay it has become apparent that the hotel has been complacent and neglected and is now in disrepair.
The once-glorious wooden flooring is now scratched, light switches are stained and the air conditioning hums loudly throughout the night.
The complacent attitude of the housekeeping staff was observed as well - bedlinen and towels had stains on it and the breakfast order form had been pre-filled by the previous guest.
I asked the hotel to call a cab for me and it turned out to be a cab with a tampered meter, which charged me twice the amount as a result. Though this is a prevalent problem in KL and I can't be sure it is attributable to the hotel.
Overall it's just been a huge disappointment because my expectations were high to begin with.
The hardware was all there, but the hotel is obviously lacking in the software. It's a real shame.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't hail the cab from the hotel lobby - you're highly likely to be identified as a tourist and meet a dishonest cab driver.
Hail from the main road outside the hotel, it is quite easy due to the central location.

Not up to standard for a 5 star hotel
4.7
warm pool was a selling point until i jumped into it. Badly maintain, not scrubed, with stains.
Room service was slipshot. Room was just as messy after room service. Coffee machine was problematic. However, was not fixed after repeated request. Worse, spilled coffee in the machine was not cleared / cleaned daily.

Lovely service, great location, super helpful
hotel staff are pleasant and helpful, close to station and the towers,
7.7
My sister and i had a lovely time at Maya and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Room service was brilliant. Removed from the hustle and bustle but close to the monorail to hit up the shops.
Shopping Tip:
Catch the monorail train to the shops in bukit bintang.

Hotel Staff so friendly and good location
location is good and wireless wifi connection all day long

opposite of the famous zouk club of kl, so during weekend might be a bit noisy. the hotel staff is very friendly, better than all other hotels that i stayed in kl for the rest of my trips. however, the room is quite small and the furnitures are bit old. the design of the hotel is very interesting as up to the 22nd floor, the two sides of the building is linked by a bridge which you could actually see thru to the bottom of the hotel! i am wondering it might be a bit dangerous for someone who's drunk to go accross it!
Nightlife Tip:
opposite of zouk club. also walking distance to klcc twin tower, to the shops and cafes.

Great location.....
Near to twin towers Petronas and great architecture
5.3
We stayed at Maya hotel for 3 nights, the room is modern simple design but not quiet maintances, such as the floor which cover by parquets has some holes, the air conditioner is full of dust. But the bathroom is big and clean. The food is average, but this hotel has a menu to order for breakfast and has variety kind of food.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
From the room we can see the twin towers Petronas and in the night some buildings around Petronas towers gives a beautiful sight-seeing by their lights.
