Nikko Hotel KL
Excellent, courteous and helpful staff. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Adjacent to the Citi Bank with ATM machines; opposite Ampang Park shopping center where one can buy daily requirements including foreign exchange bureau.

Though on a work trip, I enjoyed staying at the Nikko Hotel; it is good value for money and booking through Agoda provided a very good rate. The "sohur" (breakfast) food was not rather poor I would say given that it is a 5-star hotel. I recommend Nikko Hotel and will surely stay again if I get the same rate.

Overall the stay is good. Setback is the shopping mall opposite has nothing much.
It's located near to the subway station hence it's easy to travel if u do not drive.

Passable relative to price
Location, KLCC park, clean rooms, decent security

For the price, the Nikko is not really worth the stay. The hotel itself is fine and opens into a nice lobby but the quality of the hotel is overrated.
The rooms are clean and the room toilets are large, but age shows through. The space is live-able but if paying standard rate, better off staying at one of the 5-stars around the area. Haven't tried Millenium, but the Shangri-La is a sure bet.
The breakfast selection is pathetic. Staff attention is mediocre and only efficient at clearing dishes. There is no feeling that one is at a 5-star hotel. The dining area is small and cluttered. The dining space should be revamped and made more efficient. Everything is cramped. That said, the fresh fruit is good in quality. The cold cuts are miserable and for the three nights I was there I only managed to get smoked salmon on one breakfast! Shangri-La would never let this happen; they are the models of a great breakfast spread. This means: don't invite business guests for breakfast at the Nikko.
Generally overrated. Expensive for the quality. Reminds me of Prince Hotel, which is very passable. I'd rather stay at a poorer hotel, but pay half the rate and use the money for shopping.

Overall very satisfied with the stay. Wish they had more option for the food. As not much options for Vegetarians. Overall a good experience.

overall fot the price, i thought it was worth the money. there is nothing that special about this hotel, but the front desk to door personnels were very attentive and pleasent. ive stayed in many hotels around the world. however, this hotel might not have the same level elegance, but overall i had a pleasent stay.

Excellent hotel
The hotel staff and accomodation were excellent
9.7
This is a centrally located hotel, right next to the down town central business district. You can get to pretty much any where you need to, to KLC for shopping or other sight seeing interests.
The hotel staff were always extremely friendly and polite, at your beck and call to serve whatever needs you have. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting KL.
Overall I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely book again.

Food was quite poor and swimming pool was in maintenance, for which i was hoping i could do some swimming. I expected more from a Nikko Hotel's standard. Housekeeping was also not very good, it has no consistency in working skills. Overal staff can give a bit more of smile. I have the feeling they do not really enjoy working there.

I will say that Nikko hotel definetly suitable for business trips and not family trip. There is not much family activities could be done and the biggest disappointment was the swimming pool closed for renovations. My kids definetly feeled bored. It is walking distance to KLCC and other central locations. I will strongly suggest my business friends to stay there not family.

Prime Location
Location and friendly staff
8.3
The location of this hotel is almost perfect. Just 10 minutes walk to the Towers, a Hop On Hop Off bus stop and Ampang train station within a minute of the front doors means you can easily and quickly get to anywhere.
The room had the typical business hotel feel and lacked a little character, although clean, modern and spacious. The breakfast area felt a little like a canteen but there was an excellent selection.
The staff always greetd us with a smile and were helpful when we needed them to be.

8.3
The hotel was clean, friendly and efficient. We ate in the brasserie and the food was excellent, it was Ramadan and therefore a special buffet with a huge variety of cuisines and beverages. All te hotel staff were really helpful and efficient and helped make our stay very enjoyable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Eat outside at KLCC and watch the fountains - relaxing and fun.
