To be honest, our original plan is to stay at Capitol Hotel where you can get a window view of KL twin towers but settle for Melia Hotel to accommodate other travelling mates choice.
At a rate of per night for 4 star accommodation, I really shouldn't be complaining.
For view, we are compensated for Times Square view which turn out to be my most favourite shopping mall. Although Bukit Bintang belt is full of hotels and shopping centres, some shopping places cannot make it, either too lousy or too expensive for us.
Generous with toiletries, fist time I get duplicate sets.
Hotel staff are always friendly especially the manager on duty at the main lobby. He has an eye for details, patience to explain and always cheerful. Good attitude!
I didn't try hotel food but room service menu looks expensive. Restaurant looks nice though.
If i have to find fault with this hotel, it is the tiny swimming pool and dirty carpet outside our hotel rooms on the 4th floor, quite a shame and I am concerned about hygiene of the room carpet.
Shopping Tip:
If you are taking budget airlines from Singapore, please note that you will end up in LCCT airport, not KiLA airport. If you want to travel by express train or transistor to KL Sentral, you take to take airport liner of 30 minutes. Oh my God! Then it is another walk of 15 minutes from KL Sentral to Monorail station along roads under construction. Monorail is very packed during peak hotels, unsuitable for tourists dragging luggages, you will be pushed and crushed! So the point is take a cab from LCCT to KL Sentral if you are travelling in a group, not worth saving those kind of money!

Awesome hotel
Very clean, great location, good food, friendly and helpful staff.

The only thing I could fault was that when I asked the doorman if there were any restaurants nearby he didn't really know, other than the mall across the street.
The location of this hotel is fantastic as Times Square is across the road and the train station is a few steps away as well.
Breakfast was very good, especially the Asian selections, although highly priced.

good hotel, nice..strategic location....The hotel offered good service, check-in was quick and smooth. Rooms were nicely furnished, amenities were provided. Location was good.. convenient to get to the hotel from the terminal. Many relaxation opportunities around the area too. Second time visiting this hotel and would definitely come again.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Had a good and relax stay at Melia, perfect place for shoppers. The hotel is located within walking distance to big shopping malls like Berjaya Times Square and Pavillion. Easy to catch taxi to Mid Valley (only 5 to 10 minutes away by taxi) and Sunway Pyramid.
Downside is that there can be a huge crowds at the walkway near the hotel by night.

very nice hotel at a great location in the center of kl, close to all major facilities. staff is very kind and always smiling. food is also very tasty and there is nice swimming pool. i highly recommend this hotel to those that want to have a good relaxation
