Good hotel but could improve on the service

This is my 2nd time staying at Pacific Regency hotel suites. As per my previous stay, the check-in process took quite a while.
Room comes with kitchenette. Spacious and comfortable, though a bit old... some of the power points are not working. But considering the price you pay, its pretty worth it.
Will probably stay here again if I come to KL for work.

Was upgraded to the new Premier block cos the 1st room given smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke and the flush wasn't working. Even in the new upgraded room there were mud stains on the new carpet and dirt on the countertop and toilet floor. Sound proofing was poor as could hear the elevator working all the time and the noise from the construction site outside was very bad. There was also a constant beeping sound. Except for those it's actually very luxurious.

They are erecting a new building to the left of the hotel and the noise was unbearable. I asked to be moved to the right of the building which in fairness they did quite quickly. They should, however, close off the entire left side of the hotel while this construction is taking place. You would not want to be the person with a room on the left side at full occupancy..

Room Service very poor, several items were not available and most items are deep fried. Dirty tray sat outside my room for a full day before being collected.
Reception staff very rude and slow ,Concierge staff stand around chatting while people carry own bags.
