Great location for shopping at Bukit Bintang
location at the heart of Bukit Bintang, good for shoppers who's not so tight on accommodation budget

we tried this hotel because of location as we want to shop around bukit bintang area. there are many budget or cheaper hotels to choose from but we have decided to try this one out, and it turned out to be a good decision. the rate is not in the high side but should be fine if you're not so tight for your accommodation budget. recommended more for business related stayed.
Shopping Tip:
the location is the selling point of this hotel where all the shopping spots in Bukit Bintang are all within a walk.

I noticed that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - perhaps the hotel management can improve on that?
All other matters for the hotel are exceptionally good!

Stayed there for a couple of time whenever i go to kuala lumpur. the room was clean and the design is nice. we requested for high floor and was given. the location is just walking distance to all the eatery and shopping centre, I would stay there again whenever i go Kuala Lumpur.

Loved the hotel. Absolute 5 star room. Easy to get to all the best parts of bulky bintang, shopping and transport.
Restaurant Tip:
Forget the fancy restaurants. Just across the road turn right then left to find all the hawker stalls for some great and cheap eating.

Both the Front Desk and Housekeeping staff are helpful, polite and service with a smile. Most of the high end shopping centres are within walking distance. The coffee shop at the lower floor is rather expensive. Six of us had only one serve of coffee each and the bill came up to RM$99.40+ ($14.50++ per cup)
The room lighting is poorly coordinated. Every time I turn on the toilet light, it shined through into the main bedroom and woke up my wife as we were light sleepers.
Shopping Tip:
The location of this hotel is just great for shopping and dining as the choices are plentiful. Local hawker food around the corner and fine dining at the Pavilion lower floor which is about 300 meters away.

Great location..getting a little tired

we have stayed here many times because it is a very convenient hotel. there is really nothing to complain about or to rave about. it is a convenient, comfortable and clean hotel. the staff are friendly but avoid catching a cab from the hotel lobby as the price is tripple that of a cab 50 feet down the road.

Check-in staff was friendly and efficient. We chose the Deluxe King room and it was just spacious enough for 2 adults. King bed was very large, however, pillows had yellow spots on them, making us question the cleanliness of the room. During our 6-day stay, the water in the bathroom turned reddish brown one night (yuck!) and one of the bedside lights was flicking. We promptly reported this to the concierge who was Indian and did not seem to speak English or could understand us. This was not fixed until a day later when we reported it again to the check-in staff this time. We booked a tour and had a message left on our room phone by the tour organiser. When we could not access the message due to not knowing our room code, the concierge was again hopeless and unhelpful.
Other than those hiccups, ParkRoyal hotel is in a great location opposite Sungei Wang plaza. Lot 10 next to it was under construction so it was a bit hard to walk through to get to the other shopping centres. The noise insulation is not great either as I could hear the people in the other rooms. Apart from the unhelpful concierge, the other staff were friendly and courteous.
Parkroyal needs an upgrade to keep its 5-star status as we could see that our room was a bit old with a large spot of stain on the carpet. I am also not a fan of the shower over bathtub. The bathroom always had this damp smell, so an installation of a fan would not be a bad idea.

That was our 5th stay at the Park Royal and very disappointed in our room. It was small and looked like it needs a make- over. After our previous rooms we stayed in there, it made our stay very disappointing. For the same price the Prince Hotel was a much better choice of accommodation. We stayed there in May 2012.
