I have been staying in Piccolo Hotel many times and I chose the hotel because of its great location and good service that I received from the hotel staff.Though the room is a little small but its cozy and clean.Most of the major shopping malls are within 5-minute walk from the hotel

the hotel is very central to the shopping and restaurant area. rooms clean and reasonably spacious with amenities as you would expect these days. shower & lavatory very nice sizes, but the heavy duty frosted glass doors and wall panels used offer little sound protection which means your 'privacy' when engaging in those 'private' moments can be somewhat compromised if you are traveling with another. fortunately i was alone. summary, a good, clean, well appointed well positioned hotel, but stay at your room with only that 'no secrets' nothing new to know about, special person when bath time comes around.
Shopping Tip:
you are withing striking distance of many of the major malls, although they do not alwats offer best VFM.

Sad to say that your reception desk officer are not well trained in accommodating new guest like us.As by example,they do not smile and give a warmed welcome.Be hospitable to your guest because we are the one who give salary to them.

me and my wife arrived late about 7pm. the deluxe room we booked was not available (for non-smoking). the front desk staff upgraded us to executive room. he was helpful in providing information about the kl city and also smiling...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bukit Bintang LRT is just 5 mins walk. Able to access to various parts of KL using the LRT.

me and my sisters stayed in 2 rooms deluxe with connecting door. we really like the clean and new rooms. we enjoyed our stay. only that they should inlude the breakfast in the restaurant located in the lobby where they serve great variety food, instead of at the coffee club.

Amazing stay in affordable budget, rooms are huge and clean. Stay here and you will have no regrets. Forget about breakfast when u have so many choices outside to explore.
Restaurant Tip:
All my Vegetarian friends - Try superb Lebanese at Al-Amar next door or further down opposite Federal hotel is a Buddhist restaurant serving grt food for ppl like us.

The rooms are nice. But that time we had problems with the drainage of the bathroom and house keeper didnot fix. And also, the breakfast at the Coffee club is louzy. I prefer breakfast at Borneo Cafe right at the lobby as they have great bfast and drinks. Piccolo should consider offering rooms with bfast at Borneo instead of Coffee CLub or Al-Amar.
