the swimming pool, the fitness facility, great view of the twin tower and city view from the rooms
The rooms in the east wing looked a bit old. The carpet was old and a bit smelly.
My wife and I have stayed one night on 19May.We stayed in East Wing of the hotel. The view from the room was just fantastic!!! I have never seen anything like that anywhere else. The twin tower was just in front of us and it was magnificent daytime and even more at nighttime.
The swimming pool was beautiful and huge. It was not like the pools you usually find in city hotels, it was more like swimming pool in resort hotels. The fitness centre was equipped well and worth to try.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in Renaissance.
Hotel Feature Tip : Should enjoy the swimming pool. It is really nice and beautiful.

nicest place i've ever stayed
The Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur is an awesome place to stay, too bad it's in Kuala Lumpur. The rooms were huge and cheap, the pool and gym were fantastic (on par with destinations like Miami or Rio de Janeiro). The hotel is a short walk to two subway trains and the Petronas Towers. Comfortable, quiet hotel with awesome staff.

The Location , Swimming Facilities and the Health Club
We arrived to the hotel early in the morning since our flight was delayed but the the front desk staff was very nice and attended to our needs. The rooms , specially bathroom needs renovation since the hotel is quite old but it has a good location and the swimming pool and the health club facilities are very good.
Nightlife Tip : The Hotel is very near to KL Twin Tower and the shopping center. It is also located next to Hard Rock Cafe and other night clubs

- pool
- VIP lounge
- excellent services
- close to KTM (train)
restaurant a bit noisy (especially for breakfast)
very good hotel with excellent service, close to everything : shopping malls, Twin towers, and transportation. The pool is also quite big and the fitness center is huge ! we spent our first free days in kuala Lumpur in this hotel. When we got in, we thought "at last, we are in vacation", after a 24 hours trip...
it is a very nice hotel with high standards of quality, even if it is a bit old, it is a very relaxing place. my advise : try the vip lounge !

Right in the city centre, high class decor, rooms superb
The Rennaisance hotel is a nice modern building with a stunning reception area. When we arrived they took our baggage and were very friendly. Although we did not have time to use it the pool was fantastic on the third floor and the tennis courts a level below were very nice. Cannot fault the place.
The room was very spacious and beautiful.
Nightlife Tip : Good nightclub with live band around the corner with plenty of restaurants to eat at.

tall building, meeting rooms, facing twin tower
old building, old furniture, old system, old amenities, lack of product knowledge
This hotel is probably the worst hotel i ever stayed at Kuala Lumpur! I book the hotel from Agoda 1 week before i check in. I requested for a non-smoking room and a king size bed. However, when i check in to the hotel, the front desk staff told me the hotel are running high occupancy and couldn't arrange a room with king size bed and non-smoking room for me. Oh man! i make the reservation 1 week ago, there are running full 1 week ago? Anyway, i couldn't blame much on that, as they never promise me anything. Somehow, at last they managed to give me a room with king bed for a Rm37 upgrade to others room type.
The nightmare came upon us, once we step outside the corridor. The corridor carpet are very very old and the non-smoking floor smell like weed! And then, the room is far from what i expected from the price we paid! The room look very old as well as the facilities. The carpet full of stain, yes the view are marvelous which is facing the KLCC but our windows are full of fingers prints, i can't barely see the view outside the window! The aircon is hot, even i lower the temperature and higher the speed. Useless! The sheets are clean but with a old 90's blanket.
The facilities here is very old too, small old tv, the major problem is the internet service. From what i read from the internet guide in the tv. There are still using telephone base to connect internet, and the charges is based on telephone charges. I couldn't imagine how much could it be, if once i connect to the internet.
One more thing i have to mention is the bath room shower. The shower is noisy! When someone is shower, the whole room sound terrible! This is very very annoying!

rooms looked tired, staff not always attentive in front office and concierge
The hotel is in a good location, you can easily walk to KLCC and other shopping centre. Feels very safe, entrance is always guarded and taxi are always metered. There is a big swimming pool good for families, not impressed with the SPA.
Travel tip : you can walk to shopping centre, bars and clubs.

Location, quality service, pool, and the quality bedding
The complex is a bit dated and exterior is somewhat drab
The hotel is much nicer on the inside, which is most important. There's also a lot more too than meets the eye. The complex is actually pretty large and the amenities are very well appointed. The rooms are spacious and the level of comfort is good. There is a nice lounge room and free wireless internet access which is great for the business traveler. I would recommend the hotel for either a central getaway or a business stopover.
Nightlife Tip : Its very near to some of the best nightlife and dining areas available in KL, far too many to mention in this short space.

The pool. the soft King size bed with soft sheets.
Breakfast was not included. The banging of room doors was noisy in the morning and woke us up.
An elegant hotel with a very grand lobby and a fantastic pool. We stayed in the West Wing which was very sumptuous, a king size bed and large bathroom. The hotel was close to the railway and tourism centre and only a short walk to the Petronas Towers. We had a lovely view over the pool. The satff were attentive and helpful. I would stay here again.
Travel tip : Having the Tourism centre across the road was very helpful.

Fantastic location, good restaurants in hotel, beautiful large pool, tours organized at hotel and friendly, courteous staff.
I stayed at the Renaissance hotel for four nights.
It is a beautiful hotel with good restaurants and a beautiful large pool. I had a room overlooking the swimming pool and a view of the KL tower which is spectacular when lit up in the evenings.
The hotel is located in the commercial area and is within walking distance to the famous Petronas twin towers.
The concierge staff were very friendly and eager to arrange tours. They also informed me of the hop on/hop off bus which is a very useful means of transportation to tour the city.
Also the Tourism Office is located across the hotel which provides useful travel information and free internet use for 30 minutes.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hotel is within walking distance to the Petronas twin towers.

Very good location to shopping and it is a central point to get anywhere in KL.
The price of a normal one litre water bottle is 17 ringets.
The hotel is very clean, good value for the money, the hotel staff are very fiendly, honest and very helpful. They always give give the best advise in anything like dinig out, shopping....ect. specially when you need a taxi they are very helpful in that aspect, they call the taxi and they make sure that it is a metre taxi.
Hotel Feature Tip : when you need a taxi ask the hotel staff.

Breakfast not included, a bit old
January 2009, stayed one night stay at this hotel. View from hotel room was nice, and since it was high up, no noise from the street even if traffic is quite bad close by the hotel. Gym was big and nice, also jacuzzi was nice. Hotel is not brand new, but it is beautiful and ok. Do not know about breakfast, it was not included in my hotel room price. Personnel was friendly. Some confusion when entering the hotel since did not know that there were two different wings with separate entrance and check inn.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Petronas twin towers were at walking distance, so were many restaurants

beautiful room, upgraded to deluxe to get separate shower and bay window. Had a great view of the Petronas Towers. Staff very friendly and helpful.
I had asked for a non smoking room and the room I was given stunk of smoke. When I asked for another room they tried to get me into some executive area that was more money, instead of just accommodating me. However, they did find a nonsmoking room for the rate I had paid after it was determined I was not going to upgrade further. I got the impression that at check they try as hard as they can to get you to pay more money for a room than you had originally planned.
The hotel is well located in KLCC which at first seems a little off the beaten path, but it is right next to the monorail and the LRT. Besides, after a full day of running around, especially in Chinatown, Little India and Chow Kit, it is very nice to come back to a tranquil and beautiful hotel.
Travel tip : Very close to monorail and LRT.

Service was excellent, West Wing Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Tennis court needs a new carpet. Rooms are old and the wallpaper was comming down in the bathroom.
The service provided was excellent. At arrival they told us the breakfast is included, during breakfast they told us the same, but on the last day they added 50 Ringgits per person for it. After complaining they cancled the additional costs. Breakfast was equal to the 4 Stars Melia and Swiss Garden hotel. The pool is enormous, the gym is in good condition, the prices for the Spa are overrated.
It was a very nice stay there because of the friendly people working there and the excellent service.
Travel tip : The Tourist Information Center with the Hop-on Hop-off Bus is right across the street.
