The rooms were quite old decor.
Very different from Renaissance properties one gets to see.
The lift (open/ close) were very high above the floor numbers...my little one was briefly stuck alone as doors closed before we could enter - help was around thankfully.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can take Bus/ Momo-Rail to KLCC/ Bukit Bintang. Too many taxi touts

Lovely rooms with the emphasis on quality. The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever, ever, slept in and was a pure joy to collapse onto after walking for miles sightseeing.
The amenities were also very good quality and were supplied generously.
The staff were very professional, at times minus a degree of friendliness and warmth at Reception but I'm talking about a minority not the majority. Particularly Annalise,Charlotte and Isabelle were very friendly, this is more important to a solo traveller.
The Concierge Team also could not have been more helpful and friendly.
There is an emphasis on class and good service whether it be the rooms, furniture,amenities, technology, or staff. There is also a great pool with a relaxing ambience.
There was some noise from the construction site nearby, unfortunately early in the morning, although the view from my window of the Twin Towers was spectacular so I didn't want to move rooms.
The food could be improved as in temperature and a request for ice in the smoothie was not followed through in Room Service.
The location is great as it's near the Monorail and the shopping mall near Twin Towers, although no restaurants on the doorstep. It's also opposite the Tourist Centre where the info and advice is very good. There is also a money changer there.
Would I stay there again? Definitely for business or with another traveller but possibly not as a solo traveller as there wasn't a chatty ambience as in some hotels.
Shopping Tip:
Great shopping at the Twin Towers shopping mall. The Central Market also was a joy but do NOT go to the Palm Reader there.

Overall, an OK hotel. The staff were not particularly friendly or helpful, but assisted us when we asked. The rooms were small and basic.
The gym in this hotel is excellent and very well equipped. The pool area is also very nice. The location is fantastic.

The Renaissance Hotel is ok. Right now many of the rooms do not have wifi and this is a drawback. Depends on which rooms you stay in as well. Executive rooms are much nicer in terms of décor. Service is friendly.

Very central, close to the monorail station.Be careful of the taxi drivers and insist on them switching on their meter. the hotel is very efficient in organising taxis, but once they are out of the hotel area, the driver does what he likes and charges whatever he feels like.

the hotel is a little old but has everything you need. Only downside was no free but paid parking, and the room had little minor defects such as broken lights, and curtains. Staff were friendly and quickly repaired what was broken. Other than that it was a fine hotel.

We were there for two nights. The location was great, a walk to Petronas. The room we got was very run down and there was mold along the bathroom walls. The buffet was expensive but good. The front desk staff were very rude and when we asked for a hotel taxi they brought us a street taxi. The concierge was trying to haggle with us for a taxi to go out of town. We are from the US and not used to this kind of haggling... For a hotel under the Marriot Group this was far below it's five star rating!!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very close to Petronas Towers. If you are staying there only to come back and sleep after sight seeing.. will be a good option!
