good follow up with sevice mind.

Telephone charge was quite expensive

Overall service is good. The staff pay attention to customers with good telephone follow up for all the requests. Location is quite strategiclly located in central area with easy access to business and tourist area. The breakfast is well prepared with varieties. The hotel promotion of free nights on the 3rd. night is great as a good incentive for frequent travellers like us,but the telephone charge is a bit expensive.

Impeccable service, well organized hotel, very c0omfortable rooms, clean safe envoronment. Excellent facilities great pool and gym. Attentive staff

A bit impersonal. its the biggest hotel on KL in terms of rooms and there is a tendency to get lost. the lobby ares could be more inviting and the clubs and bars located in the hotel take some finding. Clearer directions for what facilities are in the east and west wings might help. The rooms are well maintained, bu they shoudl move to Plasma screen TVs, the old box sets look a bit twentieth century.

The Renaissance, Kuala Lumpur is a fine modern hotel located close to the Petronas Towers and with easy access to the Bukit Bintange area. It's a very convenient and comfortable place to return to after a phrenetic day's shopping or business in downtown KL. The facilities are excellent, the staff extremely courteous and helpful without being intrusive. You immediately relax on entering the lobby and the rooms are well maintained, quiet and incredibly comfortable

Restaurant Tip : Check out the Magnificient fish and chips bar in Changkat Bukit bintang. It compares with the best fish and chips in either Oz or the UK

-Reasonable price -Swift service from housekeeping -Courteous service from reception - Complete gym facility with sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and swimming pool

The rooms are nice and spacious but need some minor refurbishment. Parking fees for guest of hotel

This hotel is situated at the prime area of shopping, eatery and night entertainment.Easy to get a cab or walk to nearby shopping mall at KLCC or access to monorail nearby. Had a pleasant stay with minor weakness as stated above. The buffey breakfast had a good selection of food. Overall will recommend to others as the hotel is reasonably priced.

Beautiful five star hotel. Great service, excellent swimming pool and gym.

Mini-bar, snack and laundry prices were typically grossly overpriced. Also internet was almost $10 per hour.

Usually I don't stay in 5-star hotels when holidaying but got an exceptional deal to stay here. Great location only a 15 minute walk to KLCC. Lovely, very comfortable room. A very nice stay. But why do these 5-star hotels overcharge so much for mini-bar, snacks, internet, laundry, etc. I mean $9 for a beer, $8 to launder one t-shirt, $3 for a Snickers bar and $10 per hour for internet is insane.

Travel tip : San Francisco Coffee is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Great coffee, food and free hi-speed internet.

All good. Great position. Easy for the MRT and LRT. Good Pool. Friendly and helpful staff.

None that I can think of.

The Rennaisance hotel is just perfect. A great hotel right next to KLCC the Petronas towers and the KL tower. Within easy walking distance of the MRT and LRT stations, which makes it easy to get to all of the tourist attractions, KL sentral and links to KLIA. A great hotel with great rooms, great pool and great service. All of the hotel staff are friedly and helpful, lots of reastaurants and shopping located close by. All in all a great place to stay while in Kuala Lumpur.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you have a day to spare in Kuala Lumpur and want to get out of the city, we would recommend going to the Kuala Ghanda Elephant reserve. It is about an hour and a half out of town. You can get there by bus and local taxi or organised tour. We found the best way was to negotiate a price with a taxi in Kuala Lumpur, get driven there, the taxi to wait and then come back. The hotel can help with this. If you want to make a whole day of it you can also visit Batu Caves as it is on the way.

Clean, good quality room service food. Polite and efficient staff

Not as expected from viewing the website but not a con

We only had 7 hours in KL, arriving at 11pm, Staff were friendly and helpful and room service was fast and delicious. Thankfully we had a wonderful view of the Petronas Towers from our room as that was the only sight we had time to see.

Hotel Feature Tip : Request a Petronas Towers view

The ambience, the staff and the location. The reception area and style of the hotel are all fitting to a five star hotel

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions over the past 8 years or so. The service and style remain in tack but the rooms are looking slightly worse for wear and could do woth a splash of paint and a general facelift

All in all a good value hotel. 5 Star hotels don't come much cheaper and the Renaissance is always a pleasurable stay. A safe bet for the ecomomical 5 star traveler! Over the years the rooms have not been maintained as well as they could have been and the niceties are now lacking. Those nice toiletries and slippers are either missing or looking like something from a 3 star. Minibar prices remain 5 star though! Outside the room, the facilities remain good. If you want a nice gym/spa/pool and watching the wallet it's a good centraly located option. If you're looking for a more romantic stay and plan to stay in the room, maybe splash out on a better room or another hotel.

perfect location, great fitness center

rooms are a bit old but well maintained and clean

this is a huge hotel with over 900 rooms probably the biggest in kuala lumpur, the rooms have seen better days but it is clean and well maintained and best of all the fitness center can put some commercial gym to shame! The location is perfect for us, first timer to malaysia, across the street is the matic which house the malaysian tourist center, a nice malay restaurant and a chocolate boutique within the matic complex, and walking distance to the petronas towers and the suria kcc mall.

Travel tip : it is walking distance to the monorail and the hop-on hop off stop is just across the street

Nice location that is walking distance from Monorail. It is at the city centre.

Taxis were generally reluctant to pick up guests from the hotel during rush hour, because most roads would be jammed. The hotel concierge was rude in telling me to take the monorail, which was also jam-packed with people during rush hour.

The location of renaissance hotel is quite convenient. It is close to the monorail. Unfortunately, the monorail in malaysia is small and would not be suitable for most travelers with large baggage. Furthermore, one has to cross the street to get to the station. The putra LRT is a little further, but again one has to cross the busy street intersection to get to it. Crossing the street in malaysia can be quite hazardous due to inconsiderate drivers. Renaissance is divided into 2 towers and it is not clear how they assign them. One tower is closer to the sidewalk than the other.

cozy bed

Internet should be free

Had a nice experience staying at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Location is good, very convenient to access lots of places. Hotel facility is excellent including SPA, swimming pool, tennis court. However, I was surprised that the hotel charges for internet access. It should be free especially for biz people.

Good location, freindly staff, very good services.

internet not provided and charges too expensive, rooms a bit old.

I stayed there for 5 days 4 nights and with the price I'm paying, maybe I could get a newer hotel. The services and staff are excellent though. Location is also very central. Just about 10 minutes walk to KLCC and its near hardrock KL . A 5 minutes walk will bring you to a street with all the pubs at the city center. Overall, advantages of the hotel is the location for sightseeing, shopping, very close to the pubs, you don't even need a taxi as the train station is just 2 mins away and the disadvantages is the rooms are abit old and the internet connection too expensive.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 10 mins walk to KLCC.

I was very imoressed with the facilities and the room was very well presented. The club lounge was very comfortable but the email facilities was very slow. All the staff that I came in contact with was very helpful. The hotel is currently being renovated therefore we have to patient. Nevertheless the staff are coping well with accomadating guests.

Shopping Tip : Go to the Petaling Road markets. It was very cheap and was operating all day.
