I always enjoy the way Shangri-la makes me feel at home. The staff is impeccable and available at all times.
I found their hotel in KL to have quite small rooms in comparison to other Shangri's.

I stayed at the Shangri La for 4 nights in the week prior to Christmas 2012. It was my first stay and I had strong first impression of the service and amenities. The staff were warm, polite and helpful. I liked the pool and the Health Club which featured a hot tub jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The breakfast spread was fabulous with a large variety of fresh food. My room was very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.
Travel tip:
Try the breakfast and make time for the Health Club.

This is a hotel that keeps the promises it gives, you are taken care of from arrival onwards. I never had the feeling to be in a hotel but surrounded by family, everybody friendly and helpful and proffesional

Feel good. The room is clean and comfortable. My little daughter say feel good for wearing slipper and bath at bathtub.
Nightlife Tip:
There are Christmas eve celebration on the next road near Shangri-la hotel. Go walk walk and feel the atmosphere.

Reason why i choose to stay in shangri-la is because it gave me a good impression during my stay at shangri-la bangkok 2 months back. Shangri-la just never failed me. I would still prefer shangri-la no matter where am I.

My stay in this hotel is lovely except the location is not nice. We have to drive to reach other places such as KLCC or pavilion. Jam in KL is scary so it is not recommended in general to drive. Room is elegant though a bit old. Staffs are friendly also.
Shopping Tip:
Maybe you can walk to KLCC if possible since driving is not recommended. Hotel provides shuttle bus service to town. From morning till 5pm. Hence, only coming back is a problem.

a hotel with great service but location isn't the best. my little girl love this hotel but dread the walking to pavillion ( probably around 10- 15min walk). breakfast buffet is fantastic.
definitely a hotel that i would book again.

we were here during our honeymoon on our way to bali. they upgraded our room to one that had a view of the petronus towers, so nice! we had also just spent the last few weeks traveling across cambodia and thailand in cheaper hotels so we were in need of a comfortable bed (not the notoriously hard as a brick thai beds!) and we were spoiled at the shangri-la! the bed was so comfortable! and the room itself was very clean. within walking to klcc, pavilion and bukit bintang.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you're wanting to go up the Petronus Towners be sure to get there early as tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis. We went at 10am and could only get tickets for 8pm (still great views at night though)
