High quality hotel great for events
Good facilities and near mass transit

Hotel is high quality relative to even the newer hotels in the city. Hotel is five-ten minutes walk the nearest monorail and LRT stations, respectively. The facilities feel slightly aged, and not the most modern.

THe staff where friendly and very helpful nothing was to much trouble. The service was second to none from fresh fruit placed in your room daily, to housekeeping turning down your bed in the evening, In room food service was really good and reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again

the location is perfect for shopping, nightlife the area is just around the corner, twin towers just 5 minutes walking. We used the monorail to reach further points of interest,2 minutes walk, very cheap.Best place for bargain, chinatown in the evening. Buffet diner at lemon garden on saturday with seefood a good recommondation.

Tired Hotel
Very disappointed really, pool needs major Reno, I fact entire hotel

This hotel is very tired. Friendly people however rooms disappointment, poor communication, hotel definitely not 4 or 5 star really. Arrived in my room which had upgraded and half of my chocolates were already open and eaten. Disgusting.
Pool area very disappointing. Horizons area was not really special. Would not stay again.

The Shangri La is a wonderful hotel with great service. Our room had a really nice view of the Petronas Towers - looks great at night.
The hotel is very elegant, serves a great breakfast and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Perfect Location near all the malls. We were able to go to almost in all malls in KL central district by just walking, just in 2 days. Shang also has taxi stands outside their entrance so its really very convenient. The rooms were very nice as well and cozy. Bathroom was nice too.

Central to all tourist attractions, close to food & monorail. Hotel staff were excellent and rooms were very comfortable.
Shopping Tip:
Walk down to the main road to catch a taxi as it will be cheaper and faster to all the main shopping centres.

The best thing about the shangri-la is the staff, everyone is so attentive and helpful. Its like a home away form home. You automatically feel comfortable in the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Check out Petronas Towers. It's probably the only thing to do in KL.
