Highly recommend this hotel
Fantastic hotel, location, staff and facilities

Stayed here with a friend while holidaying in Kuala Lumpar for a few days. The hotel is ideally located next to the monorail which makes commuting to the bukit bintang shopping area very easy. For those in need of exercising off all the great food on offer in Malaysia, the hotel is also only a short 900m walk from bukit bintang. This hotel is top notch with the 5 star service that it promises.

Excellent hotel, ideal location

Stayed for a night on the way through KL and found the hotel extremely comfortable. The staff went out of the way to get us checked in three hours early - very welcome after such an early flight - and were always ready with information on how to get around. Room was excellent, room service and food great. If sight seeing you are within a five minute stroll of the Menara Tower and a ten minute walk the other way to KLCC and the Petronas Towers. Very pleased with this choice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just around the corner for the Menara Tower, well worth the trip up to the viewing gallery.

Absolutely top notch.
Service is absolutely impeccable, and the hotel itself is gorgeous.

the great thing about the shangri-la is that while it's fashionable, modern, and elegant, the staff is nonetheless friendly and helpful. they really have it down to a science here. a great introduction to kl. petronas towers and kl television tower are an easy walk away, but use caution crossing the streets... the walk signals in the area never seem to turn green so you're best off just mixing in with a group of locals; they know when to go. the neighborhood will also be improved once the sidewalk/bus stop construction is complete. shangri-la is a gem.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Reservations are reuired to go up in the Petronas Towers... go to the ticket counter right around its opening time (0830) or the current day's tickets might be sold out.

Great cafe lounge area for business meetings
We had everything at our doorstop, restaurants, and great pool area

Lovely hotel in a central location

It's a nice enough hotel within walking distance to KLCC and close to the monorail station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is small but often too over-crowded for it to be relaxing. There are many restaurants at the hotel, but not that many options if you want something light (although the proximity to KLCC fixes that problem, if you have time).

The hotel is a bit old fashioned but in good condition. Nice and helpful staff. The location is ok, 5 mins walk to the nearest monorail station, however no local restaurants nor convenience store nearby.
