Lovely hotel in a central location
7.7
It's a nice enough hotel within walking distance to KLCC and close to the monorail station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is small but often too over-crowded for it to be relaxing. There are many restaurants at the hotel, but not that many options if you want something light (although the proximity to KLCC fixes that problem, if you have time).

It's a good experience of staying in this hotel. I really loved the fruits they provided in room
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Landmarks of KL are all nearby, very good shopping mall also in walking distance.

The hotel is a bit old fashioned but in good condition. Nice and helpful staff. The location is ok, 5 mins walk to the nearest monorail station, however no local restaurants nor convenience store nearby.

Older property but well kept...
8.3
1st time in KL and 1st time in a Shangri-La property. I stayed here without really knowing the area. It was walking distance to most of the places I wanted to go to like the Petrona Towers and Bukit Bintang area. The buffet breakfast was great and it offered a very wide and extensive selection of both western and asian foods. It was hard to choose on the 2 mornings what I wanted.

Great hotel to stay!!! Great staff -- they always serves you with a smile. The food is amazing especially their breakfast. The hotel is also located nearby to a lot of shopping malls. Just be careful on choosing your taxi -- take those blue taxi they use meter unlike other taxi.

This was the most breathtaking Hotel
10
From the moment we stepped into the huge Foyer, we were charmed by the staff, and the Lost Horizon Hotel "The Shangri-La"
Hotel Feature Tip:
The staff were superb, this hotel is not about the bricks, mortar and interior but it is the staff. Like the Lamasery, each member of the staff reminded me of Chang, a postulant at the lamasery who charms and looks after the stranded 4

Luxury is the name of the stay
8.7
we booked a suite up on the reserved floor and had the most amazing 3 days stay with a view overlooking the petronas twin tower. i will simply say that this is truly a luxurious and charming hotel. there's nothing more to say other than stay there and treat yourself.

Great amenities
Great amenities, nice breakfast

it's my third time to stay this hotel. as usual, i like the gym and health club. breakfast is great as well. this time i tried the in-room dinning, which was totally under my expectation! food is great, and the service is awesome!
but i was a little disappointed that they didn't provide me the nice room, although i stayed for four nights. while huge volume came, the quality of the service dropped a lot..

Great Hotel - Staff very attentive
Good Location, club facilities great, excellant food and drinks
9.7
had a great stay, we took advantage of an upgrade to a suite on arrival, wow! how fantastic, lounge, dinning, bedroom ,dressing room and bathroom. lovely decor and great housekeeping service.all staff we encountered were very friendly, forever smiling and could not do enough to assist. club room facilities were excellant, excellant choice of food and drinks, well worth the extra. had a great meal in arthurs bar and bistro and the lobby area. loved the music and ambience of the lobby area, although large it felt very inviting with lovely background entertainment in the evenings. pool area was small but very well set out and private, good service for food and drinks here, had a lovely lunch by the pool one day.could not fault the excellant service of all staff we came into contact with they were so friendly and helpful. will certainly stay there again, we found the mix of both business and leisure clients good. it was very busy with the international cricket council conference during our stay but we did not feel this encroached upon our space.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Only a short walk to the Twin Towers and Shopping complex. Is quicker to walk up into the main shopping area as the one way road system can take a while in busy traffic.
