One of the best location; 10 mins walk to KLCC and one tram station; free mocktail drink if you are Golden circle member; some staff are very nice and patient; breakfast is awesome.
Room has awful smell; no DVD player available; LCD screen is so small; not much choice of TV programmes;
50% of Shangri-la hotels located in China; most of them are very good; but this one is just so so.I booked kingbed room 3 weeks before check-in, while when I arrived (1:30pm) I was told there's no kingbed at that moment and receptionist asked me to accept twin bed. In the end , I wait for 3 hours and get a kingbe room in the end.
Hotel Feature Tip : improve TV function and clean the room thouroughly particularly the smell in the room.

Location, Cleanliness of rooms, Nice spa
I do like Shangri-la hotels and always try to choose there hotels when available. However in this hotel in particular, I didn't feel that much comfortable. The staff do not look welcoming. It took me 30 minutes for Check-in. Still a recommended hotel in nice location for those who would like shopping.

Quiet,unobtrusive professionalism throughout the hotel.
It is difficult to find fault with the Shangri-La KL apart from the faint throbbing music late at night that appeared to come from the bar/club across the road.
For a city centre hotel the KL Shangri-La would be hard to beat. The staff were without exception helpful, friendly and professional and the facilities first class. Access to the Club Lounge made life distictly easier in terms of breakfasting, secretarial support and internet use. I would rexcommend the Shangri-La KL to anyone, business man or tourist who wanted a central location.
Hotel Feature Tip : An upgrade to the Club floor with access to the lounge is good value.

Location, facilities, everything was good!
Check in was fast, easy and very efficiently done. The room was very spacious.
The staff was good, the service satisfactory. Breakfast was fantastic and had almost everything that I could expect.Overall, I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would most likely stay here as and when I come back and that is not too distant from now!
Nightlife Tip : Proximity to everything one expects during a trip overseas...tourist attractions, nightlife, restaurants, shopping...everything nearby!

Services, food quality and location.
Warm welcome upon checking in. Delicious international buffet breakfast serves from 6am, great timing for those who need to start your day early. Superd clean & spacious room with fantastic pool view. What we feel best is the location that is within a stone throw away from KLCC and Pavilion, the two best shopping malls in town. Shangri-La Hotel is my only choice if we are in KL, Malaysia.
Shopping Tip : KLCC and Pavilion Mall

Housekeeping, Location, Breakfast
Lets start from the breakfast. This time it was all 7stars breakfast! Dinner was great also. This time we liked restaurants a lot, thank you. Our room was super clean, that was nice. But the main thing is that when we've checked out and arrived to the airport, i noticed that we've left 2 new jackets in the closet. But we were on our plain already. When we landed i called to the hotel and houskeeping department informed me that they found it and asked me how to deliver it to me! Thanx a lot guys! DHL picked it up and that was it, great! Will stay again.
Restaurant Tip : great bufet

Location was good. Clean. Staff efficient.
F & B totally overpriced, rooms small.
Having stayed at many hotels all round the world of various stars, I would not put the KL Shangri-la anywhere near the top of my "return to" list. The location was great but other than that there was very little about it that made it stand out in any way.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking distance to the Petronas Towers but not to the KL tower.

Location superb, service excellent
My wife and I stayed on the Horizon Club Level and there was no negative experience. The food was excellent and it changed daily. The service was very first class and the surroundings were very nice. I cannot recommend any higher. The room was good and the hotel is located within walking distance to most central locations. The staff were very helpful to a first time visitor to KL.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The monorail station is walking distance.

Great Food & Service. A good mix of locals & visitors, so there is a taste of real KL.
The location is good, near the main upscale shopping center, the Twin Towers. If noise is an indication, good for nightlife.
They are under construction. The club floors are estimated at being closed for a year...they make no apology for giving you a Deluxe room 10 floors lower down. There's the noise and smells...the noise though is very considerate: 9 am or later only until 5 to 7 pm.
The surrounding nightlife is not loud until around 2 am and then the bass is mplified until 3 am closing.
I cannot understand KL hotels...complaints seem to be completely ignored. Be it the Westin...very beige ... a better location for 'local color' outside ...terrible food....to the Istana, very nice but no business television stations in any language... they are quite simply completely nonresponsive... But of the three, if you're there on business, the Shangri La is the hands down winner...
They also will provide FT and South China Morning Post along with the usual local & international newspapers.
In their Lemon Garden Cafe, the breakfast and buffet restaurant, you can pick fresh herbs for your food...every night they had fresh roast turkey--they had no idea how to cut it but they kept trying---it was charming. Also from breakfast thru dinner there are Chinese, Indian, Noodle stations (not really any Malaysian but their Malaysian guests, I'm told, eat better at home). The staff, even the chefs were charming.
Very very difficult to answer the satisfied/unsatisfied..but best of 3 and I hear the end of construction will bring many good things, and no need for excuses...
Shopping Tip : The Kinokuniya Bookstore in the nearby shopping center is the best and biggest I've seen in Asia.

Location, location, location... KL tower on one side and the Petronas Towers on the other. Absolutely beautiful area of town that makes you want to walk to near by locations rather than take a taxi. I have been staying there in KL for 20 years now and that will not change for future visits to that beautiful city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Everything is close to this hotel, shopping, resturants, sightseeing... everything.

It was a very comfortable stay at Shangri-la which is close to shopping areas as well as Twin Towers. Moreover Tram is just on walking distance to conveniently go through the city. Nice place to stay at in Malaysia.
