I have stayed at several of the 3-4 star hotels, and have transitioned to this one, which offers the best deal, having previously stayed at Citrus, which has become run down and Vistana, which has increased it's rates and added a 30 RM wifi fee.
Restaurant Tip:
food court at Sogo 6th floor or next to Semua house there is a nice restaurant

This is my first stay in Silka Maytower; and i can tell you that i am fully staisfied with the stay. I didn't expect any special treatment so, silka was just great for me to have a comfortable stay and stone's throw away from Shopping. It's located within Jln. Masjid India (which may look like a slum but far from it.) which is excellent if your preference is to travel KL via the train system.
Eating india local food is excellent; there's a 7/11 nearby plus fast food markets, KFC, McD's, Nando's is just a stone throw away.
I'm looking forward to stay here again in future. I hope you had your card readers in the lift fixed by then.

For a 4 stars hotel this price is more than any worthy compare to others 3/2 stars hotel in kl
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
kl tower nearby, and butterflies garden .

we spent 2 days in this hotel. we were happy with the size of the room.it was spacious and equipped with the basic things we needed during our stay such as iron and ironing board,hair dryer, and even a comb! what we like the most about this room was, it was odourless. no unpleasant smell.the buffet breakfast was great.the food served was delicious. overall, we had a great stay in silka maytower hotel.

Nice cosy hotel for its class.
Clean, modern, very good location, good value for money.

The hotel room was modern, clean, the beds were comfortable. The size is a bit small and the LCD TV hangs on the wall at shoulder height, so watching TV is a bit difficult on the eyes. But for the price, its hard to beat the value of the hotel. Would certainly recommend the place and will return in the future.

stay was pleasant, though the sound insulation could be further improved. i was disturbed by child's voice and play sound at very early morning hours.
tv channel selection was alright, thought the quality of tv image could be further improve.

the location is good close to bazars and shoppingcenters and central market etc. the poolarea is small but covered so it does not get too hot.
the breakfast is good, fresh fruit and an egg-station, could not find it ay first, as it is outside the diningroom.
hopefully the hotel will change the carpet on the 22nd floor as it was dirty.
