Not such a good deal if above US$50...
Location, front desk young man was nice and helpful.
4.7
This is a major issue in KL nowadays, large hotels are giving themselves 4 or 5 stars and certainly do not live up to that level. I have been trying many hotels in KL since last July and very few hotels are to be trust in regards to what they pretend to be. Large hotels like the Maytower, The Legend, Grand Seasons... are old, worn out, and hire untrained staff at a very low salary to keep up with their profit expectations... They also don't really care if you are coming back or not, because they've prime location and their main clientele are people from Arabian countries who are paying a lot of money and don't really seem to complain about the poor service or dirtiness of their room even though the hotel is advertising a 5 stars service... Maytower is not too bad if you are crashing there for one night and paying 50 bucks through Agoda.
I would recommend to avoid the pool... it's a filthy bouillon of bacteria. I try to swim every day wherever I am, and when I started to swim at Maytower's, I almost felt like vomiting... The water is obviously not filtered properly. Also thinking about it, that's a rather small pool with 100 of people bathing in it every day... Also, I had to wait more than 45 minutes to get a towel... The guard didn't speak English, he disappeared and never came back... and although I asked for the towel upon my arrival at the pool I got it only long after I finished swimming and was already dry when I got it.
The room by itself was quite small, weird stains on the carpet, weirder stains on the bed sheets and on the towels... I kindly call the housekeeping for 1 new towel, and I'm still waiting for it....

The room is worth with your money spent. The only problem is the lift system is little bit convenient. You need to use different lifts to get to different car parking level. Sometimes I need to wait a long time for the right lift to come. As a summary, the hotel is good as overall.

Above the average hotel
Clean and comfortable hotel
7.3
We stayed in this hotel for 3 days and were satisfied by the cost-benefit it provided. It is more a business hotel and has good level of cleanliness and features, but is not as centrally located as a tourist would like. Internet is expensive

Stayed at standard room 2 nights while on transit. Room was small but comfortable. Housekeeping service not consistent. second day front desk staff had us waited for over 20 minutes but never delivered what we requested, when asked to check, the staff just brushed us away with a 'on the way'. In the end, we decided not to wait & left.
Would not recommend for holiday goers, service needs serious improvements.
Location is outside of golden triangle, very far if to walk to main shopping belt.
