i found my stay at the maytower was good.
the bed was comfortable and the room facilities were in good repair.
unfortunately i was told on checkin that the pool was under repairs.
i found that this was not listed on agoda and was on the hotels site, it actually stated the wrong date on the hotel website as the repairs were extended due to bad weather. if i had known this right from the start i would not have stayed there.
the hotel did make arrangements for guests to use a shuttle service to go to another hotel, i did not use this service as it would have been an inconvenience to do this as i usually tie in a swim after a good gym workout.
one of the days that the pool was supposed to be closed, i left the gym which overlooks the pool and it was being used as a private function, i find this double standard not acceptable for a hotel of this standard.
otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Front desk is very friendly and accommodating. Food ordered through room service is delicious. Housekeeping a bit slow though. Room is also very very small. What i appreciate is the honesty of the housekeeping staff. I accidentally left my wedding and engagement ring on the table. When i realize that, i rushed back to hotel. Back in the room, i saw it both on the table. The staff didn't take it. She could, but she didn't.

i guess its not really 4 stars hotel even 3 stars as stars were shown while booking.Hotel was not that clean as was expecting in impression of 4star hotel.
Location is in the market but i felt market was for locals, not for tourist. Over all hotel location is good that you can access all main places like twin tower, china market, KL Sentral, Time square etc. at max of 15-20 ringts and can easily find cafe and restaurants near by.

Nice and cosy with good service
The service rendered by the hotel staff was good and friendly.. Got an upgrade upon arrival and the room was lovely..

Not all frontline staff knew the value of being customer-focused. It was also not easy to understand the English spoken.
There was barely room to squeeze through to the window as the bed occupied all the available width of the room.
Maintenance must be improved e.g. thick coat of dust & dirt were visible below the bed.
No ironing board was provided although an iron was.
Perhaps it is good enough for a single traveller on a budget, with very short stay and need to be close to LRT stations.
