Not what I read about. A disappointment

I was attracted to this hotel because of the reviews. Having stayed at the hotel opposite the road wh has the same rating, I decided to give it a try. Upon checking in I was pleasantly surprised to be told that they are giving us free upgrade. Sad to say this did not change our impression of the hotel. Although it is deluxe but it is no better than any superior room in a 4 star hotel. Worse, the bath tub or the plumbing below it was leaking. The whole toilet was flooded. Floor rug didnt help at all. The toilet walls was poorly maintain. The grooves were mouldy n looks like no proper maintenance was done for a long time. The mushy smell add on to our woes. We didnt ask for a change of room as we were staying for only 1 night. But they shouldn't hv given such a room to a guess in the first place, not whn they say its a free upgrade.
However I must commend the staff who were forever polite n ready with smile when aproached for help.

The location is great as it is close to the city centre. Lots of shopping and food choices in the mall next door. The superior room is anything but superior. The mini bar is empty and choice of tv channels is not that great.

Great Hotel with Large rooms

The staffs are very friendly, good security, good services. But the track to car park is very long and small, therefore need to drive carefully. A shopping mall and LRT station is beside hotel. But it is quite far from other shopping mall like Times Square, Sungei Wang.

Good Place, Good Location

We had a good time here. The hotel has all you need. Nice deco, the rooms are clean and well decorated, good beds, the breakfast buffet is well stocked. Could have a little more items for Vegetarians, but one can always fall back on the typical indian breakfast.
Sufficient and spacious parking, that is free for hotel guest.
Internet is not super fast, but o.k. and also free.
Has a good squash court and a clean pool.
Alltogether we were happy there.
Shopping Tip:
Downstairs in the Sunway Putra Mall is a 'cold storage' ... that got all you could possibly need on snacks and stuff.

we had a great stay. nice staffs. the staff even upgraded the room and we felt so happy with the upgraded room which is large and nice ambience. the amneties are good. room is clean. fast check in and check out. the hotel is in between of 2 separate rail stations so can travel without the jam.
Shopping Tip:
the sunway mall is just next to the hotel. can shop at sogo, masjid india, chinatown, little india, klcc, the gardens, megamall midvaleyy and many other shopping malls as the trains stations is within waliking distance.
