Lovely hotel but reception staff are not friendly
Very near to shopping complex!

I love the hotel. However, staff at reception was very cold & not friendly at all. Other staff are good.
Hotel does not have a spa/ massage. I think this will improve the facilities (if available) bcos I am a spa-lover!
Hotel is also not so friendly in terms of internet service. Even though it is designed for business travellers, internet is costly!

The hotel has a great location as it is very near the Putra WTC LRT station. The Sunway Putra mall is also connected to the hotel.A number of restaurants are in the vicinity so food is not a problem.
The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is very courteous. Overall the hotel is good value for money.

It was an awesome stay in Sunway Putra Hotel.The kids love the ambiance as well . We were having nice view from my room . Im looking forward to be back in Kuala Lumpur & stay again at Sunway Putra Hotel.

We loved our stay here! The pool is nice the hotel is fantastic thank heavens for that cos we didn't like KL one bit! The hotel is less then a min walk away from the train, and there's a shopping mall next door,there's a Starbucks maccas,KFC and pizza hut there also a couple of there own fast food places and there's a supermarket. The staff will follow u around (in the supermarket) but not help u with anything. My hubby said its like having his very own guards lol, other shops that may help are sogo two train stations away but they have everything there it's like our target but bigger :). The toilets are bad in KL so try only using shopping mall toilets or fancy restaurants and check the cubicals most have a western style toilet, not to forget also take the toilet paper from the outside wall as they don't put any in the cubical. Breakfast is crap if ur a westerner but they have toast and cornflakes, there is lots of food however manly there own culture food, which is gross undercooked eggs u can get them to fry u eggs but tell em to flip them that way they arnt under cooked and raw :/ I like my eggs abit runny the yolk that is not the clear part. All of hotel staff spoke gd English well most ppl in KL do. There is a hop on hop of bus in KL as well u have to walk about 5 mins to get on it and it's on the other side of train station walk up to the major road and turn right the bus stop for the kl hop on is about two min walk down the street don't cross on to ur left side cos u will get lost. Oh also this hotel looks like a 10 star hotel compared to our normal ones back home in Adelaide.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't listen to the ppl at central train station they appear to know nothing. If ur catching the shuttle bus from airport which is the better option rather then catching the train or a taxi takes around 1 hour by bus or taxi to get to central but takes around 40 mins by train if u know what to catch. U have to get of and do two transfers can get lost easlt as ppl seem to know nothing :( so best catch the shuttle bus that takes u to central station. Then go up excalterS and walk in the mall like area. Buy a train ticket to pwwt get of at pwwt and walk to the end of the platform and turn left go down the ramp and the hotel is on ur left u can't miss it it's right there! If u have walked down a ramp and ur standing near a road and can't see the hotel then ur on the wrong side or at the wrong station. Do not catch the monorail it is very far from the hotel,

I stayed for 3 nights in the hotel. Location is great, next door is the mall and the LRT. You dont have to drive around for shooping as the LRT can connect you the tourist attractions around KL.

Upon check-in, my room was upgraded to a bigger room with no charge. Room was quite big for a family with small children. Basic amenities is provided such as coffee/tea packets, sugar and mineral water. Other than that, room is occupied with hair dryer and ironing board which i think is very useful.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hotel is near with shopping mall. Easy to find foods and also near to public transportation such as LRT.

Not fit to be a 5 stars hotel. Poor room condition

Check into the hotel and was very surprised with the service of the front desk staff/check in. As i had friends whom tag along on the last minute, we decided to book another room at the hotel. Thus asked for the price and availibity. Staff at counter showed us a list of promotions and we asked for the superior room. Imagine they could tell us this is the Cheapest and worse room they had. Neverthless we wanted the Superior room as they couldn't even advise us what the difference between the 2 but an increase of 100 plus RM (Ringgit). Checking in was also face with some sort of unhappiness that the staffs showed. Seem to be very inpatient with out queries.
Upon entering the first room that was available first, we are really surprise that the room does not have toothbrush and toothpaste. We called the housekeeping and inform them of the missing items and they say will send it up shortly. Waited for almost 30 mins and no one showed up, i went to look for the housekeeping lady few rooms away to request for one. She informed me that they do not provide toothbrush and toothpaste anymore UNLESS one stay in the VIP suite. How can they called themselves 5* hotel when they cannot even provide the necessary toilities.
After few hours, we received a call that our other room was ready as we requested for a double bed. Went to the front desk to collect the keys, we still face the unfriendly looks of the staffs. Nevertheless took the key and went to the room. Upon entering the room, we immediately were dismay by the condition of the room. It look worst than a 3 star hotel. Lighting control system is broken but working, desk lamp can't seem to light up no matter how i try. Toilet is dirty too though the space is huge. Ceiling also look mouldy. NOTHING in the room will satisfied us to make us acknowledge the hotel as a 5 stars. Even the tv is the old CRT type and also a small one.
Shopping Tip:
The shopping centre around the hotel is not really family friendly. For better travelling experience, one will have to take a cab out to better shopping area like the Chinatown night market, Mid valley shopping. Cost less than 20Rm for a single trip or one can also take the KTM which is cheaper.
