Overall it was a good stay i was there for 10 days and used the hotel and all its areas the food for me was of good quality even the room service. The bar service great but room service for cleaning a little lacking.Extra tours and day trips were organized through the hotel easily but a little pricey. As before it was the bar prices and the tv dropping out every second that got to me.
By far the location was the best not in the middle of it all but close enough.Price was good also and food was for me excellent.
Building new hotel next door working late little noise.Rooms a little old due for face lift.T.V system is not up to scratch most of the time you cant get a channel or lose it half way through a show really annoying.Service was ok but some areas better than others. The worst for me was the price of drinks at the bar cant see how they work the margins it was bordering on a rip off.
Peerless location, great hospitality

I decided on Swiss Garden KL because I knew the location would be excellent for a quick trip. I also know that Agoda gets a great rate with the hotel. In honesty, I was expecting the rooms to be a bit dated and old but booked because of the location and rate. I was taken by surprise at how modern and recent the refurbishment was. Was also happy with staff's service and hospitality. I used to live in KL and am familiar with the vast majority of hotels - I can say with confidence I would definately book here again due to its unbeatable location, great service and high standard of room for the rate available. A especially good choice for travelers who have limited time to see the sights of KL.
The interiors of the room had just been refurbished and were modern and hip. The staff were attentive, welcoming and efficient. Location brilliant. Wedged between Chinatown and Bukit bintang - very central and close to all main shopping points and landmarks. Surprisingly good facilities such as pool and spa.
Breakfast buffet was rather crapulous. Exterior of hotel looks tired and unappealing. Carpark has no elevator! We had to walk up the stairs. Traffic around hotel is bad.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a map from reception which shows the walking tour from Chinatown and up into Masjid Jamek and Little India. You can easily stroll from the hotel and see some of KL's main attractions including Merdeka Square, the High Court, the Mosque and then Central Market and Chinatown.
Good enough

My friends and I stayed at the Swiss Garden Kuala Lumpur for a couple of nights in September 2008. The rooms are of modern design: nothing special but comfortable and clean enough. We only spend the nights there since the hotel is close to every kind of entertainment, with lots of shops around. The breakfast was basic but not bad.
Good location, helpful staff. Nothing special about the rooms but overall impression is ok.
One of the rooms smelled badly of smoke and this could not be helped.
- Restaurant Tip : The hotel is close to Jalan Alor with its hawker stalls: lots of cheap and good food but not for the squeamish!

Swiss Garden Hotel is in great Location, it's about 5mins walk to bukit bintang where big shopping malls are located and 10mins walk to jalan petaling street market. Remember to go Jalan Alor in the evening for some tasty chinese street food. Hotel breakfast was satisfactory with wide varieties-western and local. Hotel staff are helpful and the room is very clean and neat. Check-in was smooth using the agoda hotel voucher. i will definitely choose to stay at this 4-stars hotel when i visit KL again.
Close to shopping malls and bus terminal
slow service-luggage deposit

This is a perfectly pleasant hotel to stay at. It follows the chain-hotel formula for the rooms and they are bright and airy. Everything is new-ish and works well. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were good and were served in a clean and cheerful restaurant. The hotel is handy for the bustling Bukit Bintang and its restaurants and malls. It is also very close to the main bus station if you are moving on. It's not too far to the monorail or the LRT (Hang Tuah is probably the best).
At the moment (Sept 2008) there is a building site behind. I found it fascinating to watch but they do work all hours with the attendant noise.
Good sized rooms. Efficient.

You must use the room card to control the lift, sometimes, I felt it gave trouble, but on the other side, it is safe. The employees at the reception are friendly, the room is large and clean. But the swimming pool is too small, it is just for the kids. There is a traffic jam at the door of the hotel on Saturday and Sunday, you must spend much time stuck in the traffic if you go to airport. If I go to Malaysia again, I will choose another hotel.
Large room, good breakfast; there are many choices, some are Chinese food, Malaysian food and western food.
Small swimming pool, the beds of the twin room are very small.

The hotel is centrally located in KL and is very clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful although then are a little overworked and hence the service can be a little slow at times. Breakfast is adequate and is part of the cost for the room which saves you money.
The hotel is always full with tourists so it has a good reputation.
Better setup for a holiday hotel rather than a business hotel even thought they have Internet in most rooms.
All in all very good value for the cost.
Central Location, Clean and Tidy
A little slow with the service
- Hotel Feature Tip : Get a taxi from just outside the hotel to save on cost. Negotiate your own price at half the cost of the hotel.

We had two rooms. One was a Premier Executive. The other was part of their "E-package." The first room was basic, almost drab. The "E-package" room was on a floor where all the rooms had updated interior design (bathroom, lighting, floors, ceiling, walls, and furniture). Strangely, the room was about 2/3 the size of the first room even though it was about 20% more expensive. The 2nd room had complimentary access to the "E-lounge" which is an airport lounge-style business center with free unlimited Internet computers, printers, snacks, TV, and outdoor patio. If you don't get E-lounge access with your room, then Internet access was relatively expensive. Overall, both rooms were a great value for the money. Both rooms have a terrific all-you-can eat breakfast buffet featuring both Asian and Western selections. The hotel is located in Bukit Bintang. It is walking distance from 3 monorail stations: Hang Tuah, Imbi, and Bukit Bintang. Hang Tuah is the closest and easiest to walk to (5 mins). Hang Tuah is also next to the Putra line of the KTM subway. The best part is its proximity to Jalan Alor (2 mins away right out the front door) which is about 4-5 blocks of food hawkers/food stalls. This was the highlight of our trip. We went there for dinner every night and had outstanding Chinese food and beer for about $5USD each.
Great location (Bukit Bintang), Close to public transportation (monorail & Putra line), great room value for the money, excellent breakfast buffet, excellent business center ("E-lounge")
The lower-priced rooms seem drab as do the hallways that connect them. The updated rooms and hallways are much better and may be worth the upgrade.
- Restaurant Tip : The fastest way to Jalan Alor is go out the front door of the hotel and use the cross-walk to the left. This is the safest way to cross the crazily dangerous Pudu Street. Then go up the alley directly across from the hotel and veer to the right. Cross a small parking lot and you'll see the lights of the hawker stands. The activity starts around sunset. Jalan Alor is a dead-end street that runs parallel to Bukit Bintang. It ends on the same block as the KFC on Bukit Bintang and is a good landmark if you have trouble finding it. FYI, Bukit Bintang is the name of the area as well as a major street that runs through the area. Imbi is another major street. Both Bukit Bintang and Imbi are stops on the monorail.
Location a plus

For the location and price, I will choose to stay at this hotel again despite the cons I have listed above. The restaurants in the hotel does not offer a wide range on the ala carte menu but at least the hotel is within walking distance to Bt Bintang shopping area or Jalan Alor food street. Also room cleanliness etc is up to expectation as well so our recent stay was pretty pleasant.
Location - within walking distance from Chinatown, Bukit Bintang shopping district etc. Breakfast spread is quite good too.
Strangely shower room does not have a shower hose so when travelling with a child, showering can be an inconvenience. Also toilet flush appeared to be weak or is it just the room I am staying in
- Shopping Tip : Has a 24-hour convenience store just across the hotel that sells local souveniors to even child toys/paper plates, cups etc so it makes it easy when you wanted something outside the room service menu.
