transportation,

Terrible hygiene status, small room, old facility, unprofessional staff, potential security issue.

We've stayed in the hotel for several days, and it has been a terrible experience though its price acutally is not cheap at all. The most unacceptable one is the hygiene status. After my family left the hotel, just on the day we check out, we found out we started to have red measles on our skins, it became worse every day and now is still worse after we back home few days. The room is very small, it shows two queen size beds for family room, but it looks more like add one more single bed to a two-single-bed-room. toilet flush has problem, air con is not strong... Staff told us different things in different times, operatoin is not standardize. The first time I checked in, I was asked to pay credit for deposit, but second time, nothing.... Guest rooms are actually in two building, the cafe is open to public in China town, anybody can go up to the guest room area by taking the elevator from the cafe, room key is no needed.

Nice room, decent breakfast, right on Petaling St., walking distance to public trains and Central Market

no free wifi/internet, must pay for internet in the hotel's cafe, room seems clean overall, but there were ants in room (especially if you have food around).

located right on Petaling (if entering from cafe entrance), otherwise, lobby is around the corner from Petaling Street. Stayed in a triple (1 double bed and 1 single bed) and the guestroom was quite spacious and looks to have been renovated recently, with lcd tv and small couch. Reception was sort of rude/unresponsive, depending on the person on duty. Room was clean but had an ant problem - I stayed at Ancasa Hotel last year and had ant problems as well, so am not sure if ants are the norm in the area or if was the hotel's fault. Otherwise, our stay was decent.

very nice location, Chinatown at the doorstep, breakfast was nice.

i was staying at the 3rd floor. i need a longer time to go up there cuz i need to walk up by the stair to 2nd floor, a long way and take the lift to 3rd floor. the staff is not the nice to guest as im waiting for my turn to cheak in. bathroom shower tap water is too small.

it a nice hotel for anyone for looking for nice location and value for money. near to Pudu raya bus station and the most important that it in chinatown where which is at your doorstep. staff need to improve more in serive but there's a staff which help me to cheak in he is the best staff i see in the hotel. the chef is very good too to clear my table when the others is busy. My 3rd time staying with them, even with all the bad point i said but i will still going there for the next vist.

good value for your money, located at the street market, nice staff

not much, it was a bit of a walk through the building to get to our room or the breakfast area

The hotel is well located, one exit takes you directly to the street market and across the hotel is a travell agency, Hans where you can book all kinds off excursions. The staff was very friendly and nice to children. The rooms were clean and spacious, with clean bathroom and fridge. Breakfast was simple but fine. There is internet and in trhe area many restaurants and shops. near a bus station.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hans travell agency across the street to book excursions for instance to Taman Negara.

Nice rooms Good AC Clean

Location

The hotel itself was pretty nice, but the district is a bit shady. Chinatown... hmm. The market is just around the corner - you can find cheap things there. Rooms were actually very high standard, for asia anyway. Service great also, helpful staff. All in all Im satisfied with my stay - and would recommend this hotel to friends.

Convenience for food and local shopping.

Hotel is a bit old and the service is bad....utilities in the room is bad....mini bar broke down and the toilet is too small.

Great to stay in this hotel for food and local shopping like, T-shirts, bags, watches & track shoes. On the other hand, the hotel is old and direction to the room is a bit confused......

Shopping Tip : Need to bargain about 40% off the offer price.

Near the shopping districts

Staff not that helpful

the inn is accessible, near to puduraya bus terminal. Petaling St is literally at the inn's doorstep. I find it quite centralised, being the other shopping areas just half an hour away(by cab). The inn's realtively clean too. One of the downside is that getting your way ard the inn(eventhough it is small), is quite complicated. You have to go up to the second floor only to go down the first floor to reach the reception.

Neat & clean hotel - I am regularly staying in this hotel

This hotel is right on the petaling street - very crowded during evening hours - as platform stalls are opening right on the road during evening hours

Good location - neat & clean rooms. Breakfast is good . It is better to approach the hotel through Jalan Sultan street rather than entering through Petaling Street.South Indian restaurents are very close ( walking distance ) . Main bus station is very near. Hotel staff are very friendly.

It's in a lively part of Chinatown right adjacent the Petaling St markets, with cheap stuff for sale on your doorstep. Lots of good cheap food stalls/kopi tiams in the area too. Cafe does good buffet breakfast which is included. Internet service fast enough and reasonable price (MYR 6 for 1 hour)

Not much generally wrong, but my experience was not overall too positive, see my review.

I waited at reception for at least 10-15 minutes to get anyone's attention to check-in. The room itself ('superior' type) had many problems, ie furniture falling apart, and toilet that continued refilling noisily all of the night. The walls too are very thin meaning you hear everything going on next door (kids and, er, adults!) and in the corridors.

Restaurant Tip : In the Petaling St Food Court, really good and cheap laksa.

Location - convenient (transportation, shopping, food)

Location - complexity of environment outside the hotel

Swiss-Inn Hotel Kuala Lumpur is a suitable hotel for anyone who want to stay in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. With the advantages of location, it is convenient for you to find renown places for food and shopping around the area. Beside that, if you love art, the Central Market is the best choice to find Malaysia traditional goods and products. Furthermore, you will find transportation is much convenient around the area.

Good Location in Chinatown, next to the night market.

I had to wait for almost one houer at check-in. The hotel is rather run-down, the room was not clean, the bathroom filthy. I left the hotel after one night, although I had booked for a longer stay.

The hotel is centrally located in Chinatown, next to the busy and colourful night market. It is quite cheap. However, these two characteristics are the only advantages of the Swiss Inn. The hotel and its rooms is aged, the rooms have not undergone renovation for a long time. There is, however, a renovated part of the hotel ("West wing"), but the majority of the rooms are not in this newer part. Service is sluggish to non-existent. The Swiss Inn is probably okay if you only need a cheap bed and nothing else. On the other hand, if you pay a little more, you can easily find a much better hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Shopping Tip : Chinatown's nightmarking nearby.
