No wireless, toilet bowl leak.
Whenever I go to KL, I will stay in this hotel. It is located directly at Chinatown where shopping is available. Train station is just a 10mins walk away which linked to most of the shopping malls and places of interest. Recently, the hotel has added a new wing with smaller rooms for budget traveler. No wireless in the hotel but internet is available in the cafe which cost RM6 per hour but the cafe close at 11pm. Nearby internet shop is available.
Shopping Tip : Take the train than taking taxi as KL is always jammed. It is also cheaper to take train.

Free breakfast, friendly staff, great location.
Everything was old, no internet in room, charge money to use their own internet cafe, hot water ran out sometimes.
We stayed in the Swiss Inn for 5 nights. You can't beat the location. It's located right in the middle of Chinatown. Right when you walk outside there is a bustling bazaar with all the fakes you would ever want to buy. Street food is good, plentiful and cheap.
The hotel itself was not bad. The staff were polite and friendly. But the hotel lacks the bells and whistles of western hotels. Bathrooms were quite tiny and old. The water in the showers never got warm enough. They do not provide amenities such as razors or toothbrushes. They only give you 2 bars of soap and shampoo.
The breakfast is pretty decent considering it's free. There's always a rice dish, noodle dish, chicken sausages, eggs (scrambled and easy over), cereal, and toast. There's coffee and orange juice for drinks.
The laundry is extremely expensive. There is a hostel down the street (Jalan Sultan) that will do laundry much cheaper.

location, food, services.
i booked this hotel online and really liked my stay there, the buffet breakfast was fantastic, everything was fresh and plenty, hotel staff was friendly and supportive, good location, had no problem to find Asian food, and twin towers, and post office is nearby, central market and bus station is at walking distance, room service was great, daily room was cleaned and good size bathroom, highly recommended, internet cafe inside the hotel available, though the speed is slow.
Restaurant Tip : good Asian restaurants are nearby, Yousaf restaurant near central market.

Central Location in Chinatown, close to Central Bus Station ( Puduraya) & LRT!
Clean & modern rooms
no Internet in rooms, no WLAN - in some rooms WLAN from next door hotel available
The Swiss Inn KL has a great value for its price, especially its central and lively location, as well as the proximity to LRT and Bus Station are perfect!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Chinatown, National Mosque, Merdeka Square

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Well situated hotel
Little storage/wardrobe space
This was a clean, well situated hotel in the Chinatown area of the city. The reception staff let me check in early after an overnight train ride from Singapore and went out of their to resolve small problems (poor TV reception, no towels). Room was clean and perfectly adequate for one person, although it might be a bit small for two. I would recommend this hotel.

Located in the heart of Chinatown
The interior was dingy and a bit mildewy smelling.
Prices are at the low end are high in KL, but for the price I did expect a window. The bathroom was miniscule, as was the room, but it was at least clean. The location is really the only thing this place had going for it. For the same price, the Cititel Express was worlds better.

Very small, dirty room. Towels and sheets were filthy; room was window-less!! I mean there were windows, but you open the shades and just see black glass. No safe in the room. Local calls were 50 ringgits (probably just to even make a call, not for time)--that is terribly expensive.
If you want a terrible hotel, way overpriced with dirty towels and sheets, and with window frames and curtains, but no window glass, then is the place for you. It takes two separate elevators plus a super-steep ramp to even get to you tiny, poor excuse of a room with no security safe. The local telephone calls which cost 50 ringgits each--almost the cost of several meals!! The bathroom is so tiny, that you literally have to walk into the shower to get beyond the door to use the toilet. Imagine having to walk into the shower just to get into the bathroom! Horrible! There was internet near the dining area, but no indication of how to use it (computers seemed to be turned off). Walls between rooms were very thin, so it is noisy. You need to pay if you want to store luggage to pick up after you check out, and believe me, you will want to check out as soon as you can from this dump. Hotel seemed to resemble a hostel, as most guests (appeared to be backpacker-types) seemed to be surprising very pleased with this hotel.

I booked a Deluxe room which was spacious & comfortable. It's in a good location (in Chinatown) and convenient for traveling by bus around the city.
Bathroom only has a shower and the room was smallish but livable. Breakfast was okay.
Staff was very helpful and promptly dealt with my request when I asked to change to another room as the room in the new wing was much too noisy and also was very small. Overall the hotel is in a good location for the price and would be staying there again during my next visit.
Shopping Tip : Jalan Petaling is where the night market stall and the hotel is right in the middle of it.

Close to the Chinese Markets. Clean rooms and quick to respond to emergencies in the room. Breakfasts are varied and great, Staff speak English. Cheap tours can be arranged in the foyer
Very small bathrooms. There were problems with the plumbing as the wash basin leaked, The hotel is hard to get to. Also the rooms are in an obscure part of the hotel.
The bus from the airport that promised to drop us at the hotel dropped us at the wrong hotel. This meant we had to walk 3km to the hotel. The attendants had problems realising that we had booked with Agoda. The room was good but the bathroom was tiny and the plumbing was below standard . It needed repair and it took repeated calls to get someone to fix the problems.
Shopping Tip : The hotel provided excellent cheap tourist facilities.

Very good staff, clean room, near the Petalinka market and the Central Market. Internet available. Right across from the hop on hop off bus stop, a real boon to easily access the city sights.
Plumbing needs some work; faucets leaked. Bathroom very small and difficult to get to the toilet because door opens inward block the way. One has to step into the shower to close the door to reach the toilet.
I thought it was a convenient place to stay and worth the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hop on hop on bus stop just across from the hotel -a great way to get around the city and stop at key sites.

Swiss- Inn Hotel Kuala Lumpur is new and clean. Perfect location for a fair-priced accommodation. Agoda's purchase gateway made it an even attractive and valuable choice.
One receptionist was a bit long-faced. Later, I was reminded that Malaysian staff had to work more than 12 hours a day. The exploitative nature probably explained why the front-desk receptionist wasn't too cheepy.
It's a very new hotel, and located at the middle of the city, plus the various mass transit systmes, national attractions such museums and park. It's in China Town, and is close to the Indian Town. Just by walking around, I got to see all the people of various cultures and practices.
Other than the location, Swiss- Inn Hotel Kuala Lumpur provided breakfast buffet and very nice tea bags in the room. I purchased the room through Agoda. The cheaper price gave me no choice of the room. Though it seemed small, but the room was cozy and the bed and all others were worth the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For short stay at KL for example 1-2 days, go visit the national museum and the bird park near the heritage train station. Both are good and give relaxing and quick view of this country's development and modern side.

uninformative staff- cannot even let us know how to go around places. we later found out for ourselves there's a hop on hop off bus!
We asked for assistance how to send out documents sealed in an envelope already. they told us to go to the post office. we had to contact Phils (home country) for help and was given dhl tel. number and was able to send out docs.
there's a new wing in the hotel but they don't want to let us stay there. we felt it's reserved for westerners only, not for asians!
The hotel staff cannot converse well in english, maybe that is y we felt they are not hospitable. They are not effective because they cannot give us the assistance we need.the breakfast is repetitive. it's the same everyday so we ate less and less. We cannot distinguish the difference between a family room and a deluxe room. It's not even 3 star hotel. We might come back if they improve.
