Convenience for food and local shopping.

Hotel is a bit old and the service is bad....utilities in the room is bad....mini bar broke down and the toilet is too small.

Great to stay in this hotel for food and local shopping like, T-shirts, bags, watches & track shoes. On the other hand, the hotel is old and direction to the room is a bit confused......

Shopping Tip : Need to bargain about 40% off the offer price.

Neat & clean hotel - I am regularly staying in this hotel

This hotel is right on the petaling street - very crowded during evening hours - as platform stalls are opening right on the road during evening hours

Good location - neat & clean rooms. Breakfast is good . This hotel is right on the petaling street - very crowded during evening hours - as platform stalls are opening right on the road during evening hours. It is better to approach the hotel through Jalan Sultan street rather than entering through Petaling Street.South Indian restaurents are very close ( walking distance ) . Main bus station is very near. Hotel staff are very friendly.

It's in a lively part of Chinatown right adjacent the Petaling St markets, with cheap stuff for sale on your doorstep. Lots of good cheap food stalls/kopi tiams in the area too. Cafe does good buffet breakfast which is included. Internet service fast enough and reasonable price (MYR 6 for 1 hour)

Not much generally wrong, but my experience was not overall too positive, see my review.

I waited at reception for at least 10-15 minutes to get anyone's attention to check-in. The room itself ('superior' type) had many problems, ie furniture falling apart, and toilet that continued refilling noisily all of the night. The walls too are very thin meaning you hear everything going on next door (kids and, er, adults!) and in the corridors.

Restaurant Tip : In the Petaling St Food Court, really good and cheap laksa.

Location - convenient (transportation, shopping, food)

Location - complexity of environment outside the hotel

Swiss-Inn Hotel Kuala Lumpur is a suitable hotel for anyone who want to stay in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. With the advantages of location, it is convenient for you to find renown places for food and shopping around the area. Beside that, if you love art, the Central Market is the best choice to find Malaysia traditional goods and products. Furthermore, you will find transportation is much convenient around the area.

Good Location in Chinatown, next to the night market.

I had to wait for almost one houer at check-in. The hotel is rather run-down, the room was not clean, the bathroom filthy. I left the hotel after one night, although I had booked for a longer stay.

The hotel is centrally located in Chinatown, next to the busy and colourful night market. It is quite cheap. However, these two characteristics are the only advantages of the Swiss Inn. The hotel and its rooms is aged, the rooms have not undergone renovation for a long time. There is, however, a renovated part of the hotel ("West wing"), but the majority of the rooms are not in this newer part. Service is sluggish to non-existent. The Swiss Inn is probably okay if you only need a cheap bed and nothing else. On the other hand, if you pay a little more, you can easily find a much better hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Shopping Tip : Chinatown's nightmarking nearby.

Location, value for money, cleanliness

No free internet

We found the Swiss Inn very comfortable, clean and staff willing to help. For the little extra make sure you book a delux room with window. Breakfast was easy and only busy on Sunday morning. Make sure you explore the Central Markets.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the local buses and monorail for travel round town. Easy to find and cheap.

convenient location.

none.

Right in the China Town night market, you can shop, dine as much as you like, all in walking distance. Hotel is kind of old, however it's nicely maintained. Breakfast is better than average continental, they provide instant coffee in every room.

Hotel Feature Tip : In room wireless would be nice.

tidy and neat, near pudu station and Petaling Jaya Street

No Tooth brush and tooth paste provided. No refrigerator.

A very tidy and neat low cost hotel that suitable for young couple. The space is quite small and just suit for 2 person stay. Anytime can reach to petaling street to find the most valuable thing you like as the PJ street is just in front of the door. The only thing is you better prepare yourself the tooth brush and tooth paste as this basic thing is not provided inside the hotel.

Hotel Feature Tip : Remember to bring your own tooth brush and tooth paste!!

everything

For the price this is probebly the worst hotel i have ever stayed at . I normally stay at cititell but thought i would stay in chinatown ,but that was a mistake. It was dirty there was no shower screen or curtain and water went all over the place . in all it was a nightmare. I would pray that no one ever will risk staying there

very new hotel

not very clean, and the price is higher than what you get

overall is a good hotel, not beyond expectation though. the location is in a very commercial area if you love shopping but it is quite far away from the tourist spot. if you want to explore kuala lumpur i will suggest petaling street area.7-11 is opposite to the street, when you find out the hotel do not supply tooth brushes and tooth paste it is useful.7-11 is opposite to the street, when you find out the hotel do not supply tooth brushes and tooth paste it is useful.7-11 is opposite to the street, when you find out the hotel do not supply tooth brushes and tooth paste it is useful.

Nice breakfast, great location, well designed rooms.

Rooms were small.

Generally a good stay and would return, BUt the hotel make a big thing of selling you a room with a window at an expensive rate, but the window just looks onto some dirty roofs and walls, so it maybe better to save the cash and stay in one with no window, as the rooms are well designed anyway.

Travel tip : Street food is this area is great, especially the satay!
